Do you want to help develop the power systems of the future? We are looking for a Power System Specialist in Power System Modeling who wants to contribute to a robust and well-functioning electrical system by developing, quality assuring, and maintaining planning models of the power system's components. About the Position In this role, you will be responsible for managing, developing, maintaining, and validating Svenska kraftnät's planning models in the PSS/E calculation software. You will work with modeling of power system components, develop and maintain Python scripts, and conduct short-circuit calculations. The work is carried out both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues in areas such as grid planning, as well as with other business units. You will contribute to further developing the models based on operational needs and participate in technical investigations together with colleagues. You will be part of one or more groups within the unit, such as the Model Group, Power Park Group, Synchronous Generator Group, HVDC/FACTS Group, or Short-Circuit Group. In this role, you may have external contacts through dialogue with electricity distribution companies (DSOs) and participation in Nordic forums for planning models. You will also have the opportunity to participate in competence-developing training and courses, as well as attend study visits. Here you will have the opportunity to deepen and develop your knowledge surrounded by competent colleagues. You will be part of the Planning Models unit, which currently consists of 14 employees and two consultants. The unit is responsible for providing planning models (current and future networks) to Svenska kraftnät, conducting short-circuit studies for dimensioning, and providing advice on short-circuit-related issues, as well as being responsible for PSS/E training at Svenska kraftnät. The unit has many interfaces with other units in the organization and publishes updated planning models continuously, as well as participating as experts in short-circuit calculations. Villa Wera is a tray lunch restaurant where we seat all our guests, set out water and bread, but we also offer business lunches with table service. Our dining room staff rotate through all stations, from working the cash register, seating guests, managing our coffee and dessert station, helping the dish station return all dishware to the correct place, running errands, and assisting in the Deli where we prepare approximately 100-150 salads daily, in addition to breakfast service, catering, Friday specials, and more. So we are a wonderful small team where we all help each other to make everything run smoothly.
