CFO at Lärandegruppen
Lärandegruppen is one of Sweden's largest independent education providers. Since 1999, we have worked to create opportunities for people to develop and succeed – from preschool and elementary school to upper secondary school, vocational higher education, and adult education. We have a clear ambition to be present throughout the entire education chain. Our conviction is simple: quality always comes first. Now we are looking for a CFO who wants to be part of taking Lärandegruppen forward on our continued development journey. For us, it's not just about numbers. Economics is an important tool for understanding operations, making smart decisions, and creating conditions for continued development. As CFO, you will have a central role in translating analysis and financial insight into business decisions – always with quality in operations as the starting point. About the Role As CFO, you will have broad, group-wide responsibility in an operation that is in an exciting development phase. Lärandegruppen currently generates approximately 1.5 billion kronor in revenue and consists of about ten companies. You will lead and develop the finance function, which currently consists of a controller group and an accounting function led by an accounting manager. The function is well-functioning and has strong support throughout the organization. Together with your team, you will continue to develop working methods, analysis, and business support as the group grows. You will become an important part of group management and work closely with the group CEO, subsidiary CEOs, and department heads. The role is both strategic and operational, and you need to be comfortable switching between long-term perspectives and concrete day-to-day issues. You are responsible for group financial management, analysis, reporting and follow-up, as well as group accounting, consolidation, and VAT structure. You will develop decision-support materials, forecasts, investment calculations, analyses, and contribute financial and business perspectives to the group's strategic development. In connection with acquisitions and establishment of new operations, you will provide qualified support and help ensure that resources and competencies are used effectively. The role also includes responsibility for financial principles, policies, and key corporate governance matters, as well as an important role in the board's financial work and the group's annual board reporting calendar. You will also handle legally related financial matters in close collaboration with the organization and external advisors. As CFO, you are an important leader, both for the finance function and as part of group management. You create clarity and direction, while building a culture characterized by trust, collaboration, and development. You recognize your employees' competence and create conditions for them to take responsibility, grow, and succeed. You are a confident and present leader who dares to make decisions and challenge when needed, but who also listens, involves, and anchors decisions. You lead through others and bring different competencies and perspectives to work toward the same goal. For us, good leadership also means being unpretentious, curious, and close to operations. Who Are You? We are looking for someone with a business degree or equivalent and substantial experience in a qualified financial leadership role in a larger or complex organization. You have experience from group contexts and are confident in group accounting, consolidation, financial analysis, and management control. Ideally, you have worked with business development and strategic decision support as well as acquisitions, investments, or other growth-related activities. We would like to see that you have experience with board reporting and working closely with boards and group management, as well as experience with corporate governance, policies, and financial principles. Experience in developing finance functions and employees is important, as is experience from service-intensive or personnel-intensive operations. Experience from the education sector is a merit. It is also positive if you have experience from municipal or other publicly funded operations combined with experience from limited companies. To succeed with us, you need to enjoy collaborating and have a genuine interest in the operations behind the numbers. You are unpretentious, down-to-earth, and confident in your expertise. You can challenge when needed, but also find it easy to listen, anchor decisions, and create understanding. You are analytical and business-minded and can make finance understandable to people who don't work with finance. We also believe you have a genuine interest in schools, education, and people's development. Lärandegruppen is a values-driven organization, and we are therefore looking not only for a skilled CFO but also for a person who wants to be part of our culture and continued journey.
