About Us The Department of Neuropsychiatry is one of five adult psychiatric departments within Sahlgrenska University Hospital. We provide psychiatric care specializing in memory-related diseases, Huntington's disease, neuropsychiatry, elderly psychiatry, deaf and hard of hearing individuals, intellectual disabilities, and eating disorders. The units are located in Mölndal and Gothenburg. The 24-hour care is on the grounds of Sahlgrenska University Hospital and at Högsbo Hospital. The department also has a research unit (R&D unit) where extensive research is ongoing. We work with flexibility between clinical work and research-related tasks. We are seeking a licensed psychologist on a full-time basis (100%) for a combined position where work is primarily conducted at the Psychiatric Consultation Team for Deaf and Hard of Hearing, with some service at the Psychiatric Clinic for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities. The Psychiatric Consultation Team for Deaf and Hard of Hearing offers consultative specialist services to individuals over 18 years old with deafness, deafblindness, and severe hearing loss with concurrent psychiatric comorbidity. The unit has a regional mandate and receives consultative cases from specialist psychiatry as well as primary care. The Psychiatric Clinic for Intellectual Disabilities is a highly specialized service for patients from age 18 with intellectual disabilities (ID) combined with behavioral problems or psychiatric issues at the specialist care level. The service area is the Västra Götaland Region and northern Halland.
