RFP (Request for Proposal) Coordinator for the Subway
For fifteen years, Genero has supported the public sector with qualified consultants and interim solutions. During that time, we have built a reputation as a reliable, knowledgeable, and long-term partner – and now we want to grow. Our expansion is driven by a clear need in the sector: competent consultants who can strengthen public operations in transition, ensure quality, and contribute to social value. You will be employed by Genero but will work on-site at the client. For some assignments, it is also possible to work as a subconsultant for us. Project Description The department managing expanded subway operations currently has three divisions working on projects to expand the subway in different geographic areas, as well as two divisions working on joint support and governance. Within the West Division, we have the task of planning, designing, and building a subway between Fridhemsplan and Älvsjö, and ensuring that there are vehicles and depot capacity to operate traffic on the line. When traffic starts, responsibility is handed over to the Traffic Administration within Region Stockholm to manage future operations. The expansion of the subway from Fridhemsplan to Älvsjö involves a double-track subway on a new route with six new stations. Additionally, new depot capacity must be secured and vehicles procured. The project is currently fully financed through the Sweden Agreement and investment funds within Region Stockholm. Responsibility for the entire expansion, including procurement of depot and vehicles, lies with the West Division, which currently has just over 100 employees. Currently, the project is in the planning, design, and construction phase with ongoing preparation of construction documents and Requests for Proposal (RFP) for upcoming procurement of contracts. We have also begun some of our preparatory work. The line between Fridhemsplan and Älvsjö will be independent from the rest of the subway system and will therefore be built on its own technical platform, with stations that are half the length of the rest of the network, with trains that run more frequently and in tunnels excavated with new technology. Over the coming years, we are building an organization for further design and construction production. When operations are in full tunnel and installation production, the client organization will comprise approximately 150 people with approximately 2.5 billion kronor in annual turnover. We anticipate nine years of construction time. Job Description As an RFP (Request for Proposal) Coordinator, you are responsible for driving the work from design and procurement through the implementation of contracts.
