Our Operations At Hematology Department 101A, we care for patients with blood diseases, such as leukemias and myeloma. Here, highly specialized care is provided with a focus on both medical quality and person-centered nursing care. We care for patients throughout the entire care process – from investigation to intensive treatment and, for some patients, blood stem cell transplantation or CAR T-cell therapy. Stem cell transplantation is one of our specialty areas and we are accredited according to the European quality assurance standard JACIE. The work is varied and medically advanced. You work with, among other things, central lines, cytostatic drugs, immunotherapy, infection-fighting medications, and transfusions of blood components. Monitoring and assessment of patients in connection with advanced treatments is also included. At the same time, nursing care is a central part of the work.
