The Cultural School is part of the Culture and Leisure Administration in Tibro Municipality. The administration consists of a recreation unit and a cultural unit, where the cultural school is an activity in the cultural unit together with the museum and library. The Cultural School conducts its activities in inspiring and appropriate facilities co-located with Fågelvikskolan, recreation center and library.

DUTIES
As a culture pedagogue specializing in string instruments (primarily violin), you will be responsible for planning, developing and conducting instruction for children and young people, both individually and in groups/ensembles. You meet students where they are and work to awaken their musical interest, develop their musical ability and create a safe and stimulating learning environment.
Your responsibilities also include:
Concert and performance activities together with students.
Collaboration and projects in primary school/preschool and the library.
Active participation in the cultural school's joint development work and interdisciplinary projects.
Planning and implementation of open vacation activities during the school year's school breaks (e.g., during autumn, sports, Easter and summer vacations) as a natural part of the position.
This is a permanent position (vacation position) with 50% hours. Start date is August 17, 2026.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with higher education in music (pedagogical focus or musician education) with string instruments as the main instrument, or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent. It is an advantage if you have previous experience teaching in cultural school activities and experience leading ensembles.
You have good knowledge of Swedish, strong ability to use digital tools in pedagogical and administrative work, and a driver's license (class B).
As a person, you are confident in your pedagogical role, creative and have an ability to meet children and young people in a responsive and encouraging way. You are flexible and enjoy working in a creative team. Since you will have significant personal responsibility for driving and shaping string instruction, you need to be organized and have strong ability to work independently.
