JOB RESPONSIBILITIES You will be part of one of our 5 shift teams as a responding firefighter. Together you prepare, respond to alarms, and restore after incidents. During station time, you work with environmental monitoring and operational assignments that develop the organization, improve working conditions, and increase firefighters' competence. It is important that you want to work as part of a team, are adaptable, and want to contribute to the success of the operations. QUALIFICATIONS Education SMO with approved grades or Grib 1 & 2 (or equivalent) in combination with having completed at least one longer assignment as a full-time firefighter. You must have a C driver's license for heavy trucks. Age-related treadmill test - max 3 months old. Attach to your application. Swimming proficiency - Guldbojen - max 3 months old. Experience from work in municipal rescue services - We are in need of experienced firefighters, so it is a merit if you have previously worked in the rescue service as a full-time firefighter. Service certificate for smoke diving - It is a merit if you already hold a valid service certificate for smoke diving. You have a clear drive and work structured toward set goals. Within the fire service, we employ 46 full-time and over 50 part-time staff. The position is located at the fire station in Motala. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES You will cover absences of regular staff in one of our 5 shift teams. Together you will prepare, respond to alarms, and restore after incidents. During station time, you will work with environmental monitoring and tasks that improve working conditions and increase firefighters' competence. It is important that you want to be part of a team, are adaptable, and want to contribute to the best of the operation. QUALIFICATIONS To be eligible for this position, you have: • B driver's license • Training in SMO (Protection Against Accidents) or ongoing studies are acceptable, provided that at least two terms of the program are completed and you have experience working as a firefighter. Alternatively, GRIB 1 and 2 (part-time firefighter) or other training that the employer deems equivalent. You must have worked as a part-time firefighter for at least 3 years. • Swimming proficiency equivalent to Guldbojen—attach certificate with your application. • Passed age-related treadmill test and medical certificate for smoke and chemical diving to be attached to your application if we do not have current certificates on file. It is advantageous if you: • Have a degree from SMO. • Have experience working as a firefighter (full-time). • Have a C driver's license.
