JOB DUTIES As a companion, you will support a person with a disability to be able to live like others and participate in community life and social activities. This includes supporting the individual to, for example, get to and from an activity or to take part in cultural life. The time and scope of the assignment may vary and can be anywhere from a few hours to more extensive. The times can be scheduled on weekdays as well as evenings and weekends according to the person's needs. You will work closely with the operations coordinator, where together with the individual you will establish an implementation plan, action plans, and develop support tailored to the individual's needs. This assignment is suitable for you if you want an additional social role alongside your studies or other work. QUALIFICATIONS The work requires you to be attentive and engaged with the individual's needs. You should be able to work independently but also enjoy collaborating with others such as guardians, family members, or representatives. Important qualities for this assignment are that you have a professional approach, work with low-affective care, are solution-focused, and clear in your communication with the individual. The focus of the assignment is to provide support in social settings and social interaction as well as motivate meaningful activities based on the individual's interests. A requirement for employment is that you have previous experience working with people with disabilities and challenging behavior. We place great importance on personal suitability. It is an advantage if you have education in pedagogy or behavioral science. Training in LAB, low-affective care, MI, or clarifying pedagogy is also considered an advantage for the assignment. We would like to see that you have experience working with children or young people with disabilities. For companion services, hourly employment (PAN employment) applies. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a companion support worker, you will support a person with a disability to live like others and participate in community life and social activities. This includes supporting the individual to, for example, get to and from activities or to access cultural life. In your role as a relief support worker, you also provide support to the person at home in the form of, for example, transfers, activities related to personal hygiene, and support during mealtimes. The time and scope of assignments can vary and may range from a few hours to more extensive support. Schedule can be arranged on both weekdays, evenings, and weekends based on the individual's needs. You will work closely with the activity coordinator where together with the individual you develop implementation plans, action plans, and customize support based on the individual's needs. The focus of the assignment is to provide the person with support in transfers, personal care, and enable meaningful leisure time. A requirement for employment is that you have previous experience working with people with physical disabilities. We place great importance on personal suitability. It is a merit if you have education in pedagogy, behavioral science, or care. Previous training and experience with lifts is desirable. We would be pleased if you have experience working with children or young people with disabilities. For companion support and relief support services, hourly employment applies (PAN employment). The assignment comprises a total of 18h/month arranged during day/evening/weekend according to agreement with the individual. Employment form: Fixed-term employment.
