About the Position As a Workplace Safety Specialist in Operations, you and your colleagues will be Samhall's expert authorities on workplace safety. You will provide important daily support to operations while also participating in developing overall approaches and improvement work. The role involves many different internal contact points, such as collaboration with managers in operational activities, HR, safety representatives, and other support functions. Through continuous workplace visits, you will support operations in investigations, inspections, regulatory visits, and risk assessments. You will also work with training and support preventive efforts to contribute to a good workplace environment together with the operations teams. You and your workplace safety specialist colleagues will be part of our central operations staff and report to the Head of Process & Work Methods in the Operations Division. For this role, we are seeking someone with previous experience working with workplace safety issues in the service and service sector. Your contribution to Samhall is creating conditions for our employees to trust in their abilities in a safe and secure work environment so they can take the step into the regular labor market. About the Role We are now seeking an Occupational Health and Safety Strategist who wants to take a central role in developing, managing, and future-proofing our systematic occupational health and safety efforts. This is an opportunity for you if you thrive at the intersection of strategy, analysis, process development, and operational support. As an Occupational Health and Safety Strategist, you are responsible for developing and following up on our systematic occupational health and safety process and ensuring that our approaches, governance, and support contribute to operational goals. The role involves organization-wide responsibility where you work strategically to develop the occupational health and safety area while creating conditions for managers and operations to succeed in daily occupational health and safety work. You will be an important advisor in occupational health and safety matters and work closely with leadership, specialists, and other support functions. Your Main Responsibilities Lead and further develop Samhall's systematic occupational health and safety work (SAM) based on operational needs and strategic goals. Ensure that guidelines, procedures, methodological support, and system support in the occupational health and safety area are current, relevant, and effective. Follow up on, analyze, and report occupational health and safety results and provide decision-making materials to company management, the board, and the occupational health and safety committee. Develop and manage working methods in accordance with occupational health and safety legislation, the management system, and ISO 45001 requirements. Strengthen managers' ability to conduct systematic occupational health and safety work through support, training initiatives, and practical tools. Ensure that occupational health and safety information and training materials are current, accessible, and comprehensible for the organization's various target groups. Serve as an internal specialist and advisor on organization-wide occupational health and safety matters. Monitor legislation and requirements in the occupational health and safety area and adapt them to operational working methods. Contribute to developing Samhall's occupational health and safety governance, occupational health and safety handbook, and long-term goals and action plans. Who Are You? We are looking for someone with strong expertise in occupational health and safety who is driven by developing sustainable solutions in a complex organization. You are analytical, structured, and able to translate legal requirements, goals, and strategies into practical working methods that create value for operations. You are confident in occupational health and safety legislation but also pragmatic and solution-oriented in addressing challenges. Furthermore, you are pedagogical and communicative, with the ability to make complex information clear and relevant for different target groups. As a person, you are self-driven, proactive, and development-oriented. You build trusting relationships, collaborate well with others, and have a strategic perspective while also making changes work in practice.
