You conduct your own assessments and work from the care process, which means assessing, deciding on, implementing, following up, and evaluating interventions/measures. The rehabilitation team consists of a physical therapist/physiotherapist and an occupational therapist. You will work using a team-based approach together with nurses and other care staff. Your role as a physical therapist/physiotherapist includes both independent work and collaboration with other professional categories, as well as training and instructing care personnel. The work also involves contact with family members and supervision of students may be part of your responsibilities. You educate and instruct staff in rehabilitation interventions and approaches, ergonomics, and transfer techniques. Patients have access to a gym that is currently open 4 days/week where you are responsible for and conduct exercise sessions for patients. You will collaborate with physical therapists, nurses, and care staff through team meetings, care planning, etc. Documentation is done in Vodok based on ICF. We also work with quality registers such as Senior Alert, Swedish Palliative Register, and BPSD. The work is varied and involves the opportunity to meet patients in different life situations. The work includes both acute and planned interventions, which means you need to be able to make independent decisions. As a physical therapist/physiotherapist, you are part of the team around the elderly where you contribute your specialist expertise in care. Your competence and experience You are a licensed physical therapist/physiotherapist, preferably with experience from elderly care, or similar education that the employer considers equivalent. You have prescription rights or a diploma from the National Board of Health and Welfare's web-based prescription training. You have knowledge of assistive devices and the prescription process. You have computer skills in the Office package and experience with documentation, preferably in VODOK according to ICF. As a person, you are structured, thorough, and independent with good collaboration skills. You also have good verbal communication. You have the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work efficiently with a holistic perspective.
