Kitchen Assistant

Habo kost is now looking for a kitchen assistant to our central kitchen – a newly renovated, modern and well-equipped kitchen with a good work environment.
We prepare meals for preschools, schools, elderly care and a lunch restaurant. Here we combine classic home cooking with new flavors and actively work with sustainability, quality and ingredients from the local area.
Since we prepare meals for several different operations, the work becomes varied and you have great scope to influence and take responsibility in your work. You become part of a work team where we help each other and together work to create good meal experiences for our guests.
Working hours are scheduled on weekdays and weekends, and some evenings may occur when we have meetings or training.
We help each other during absences so sometimes you may get to work in other kitchens.

WORK TASKS
As a kitchen assistant in the central kitchen, you work with all tasks that occur in a large kitchen.
This includes, among other things:
make fresh and varied salads with seasonal ingredients
make rolls and snack carts
pack goods
serve guests in our restaurant
wash dishes
transport meal carts with forklift
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has basic training in large kitchen operations or equivalent experience that we consider equivalent.
You feel comfortable using a computer in your daily work, for example to receive orders from our customers and access recipes.
Since the work involves a lot of contact with both colleagues and customers, you need to be able to express yourself well in Swedish in speech and writing.
To thrive in the role, you need to be able to plan and work independently, while collaborating well with others. We would like to see you contribute ideas and want to be part of developing the business together with your colleagues.
Meritorious:
driver's license and access to a car, as work may occur in several of our kitchens during absences.
