WORK TASKS As a special education teacher, your area of responsibility will be in the lower and middle grades. The work includes teaching at class, group, and individual levels. You conduct pedagogical assessments and other typical tasks that fall to a special education teacher. You are part of a work team and have overall responsibility for supporting teachers and students in need of both special support and additional accommodations. You collaborate with others and are interested in school development and the development of instruction. You are responsible for leading student health team (EHT) meetings for F-6 and have good organizational skills. Special Education Teacher, Elementary School

Welcome to our inspiring community at Gnesta Waldorf School! About the School The school is beautifully situated on Gnestahöjden, a ten-minute walk from Gnesta train station, 40 minutes from Stockholm Central Station. The school is run by a non-profit association founded in 1993. Gnesta is a growing municipality, and we are a modern Waldorf school that is continuously expanding and developing with approximately 190 students distributed from preschool through grade 9, plus after-school care. Gnesta Waldorf School is characterized by a holistic approach to students aimed at developing the whole person—mind, feeling, and will. Some things that distinguish our pedagogy are that we work with cross-disciplinary theme periods and aim to integrate creative activities such as visual arts, crafts, and music across all school subjects. The Position This is a permanent employment position at 60% that begins with a 6-month probationary period. An additional 20% may be possible during 26/27. Start date is 10/8-26. Job Description As a special education teacher at Gnesta Waldorf School, you work preventatively, promotively, and remedially to help our students reach learning objectives. You will work together with our teachers and in our student support team (EHT), which consists of a special education coordinator, counselor, school nurse, and principal, to give our students what they need to develop as far as possible. Your Qualifications You hold a degree as a special education teacher. You have strong commitment and interest in creating the best conditions for students. You are analytical, organized, and goal-oriented. You are communicative and inspiring. You are flexible in your approach and collaborate well with others. You have basic IT skills.
