The Position This is a permanent position at 85% that begins with a 6-month probationary period. Start date is 11/16/26. The position is placed within the Children and Education Administration. We conduct statutory activities in the form of preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, and student health services. Within the administration's area of responsibility, there is also a cultural school, youth center activities, open preschool, and the municipality's food service unit. The administration works on behalf of the Children and Education Board. The food service unit also works on assignment within the Social Administration. We prepare meals for schools, preschools, and elderly care. 5 position(s). WORK TASKS The food service unit prepares, delivers, and serves meals within preschools, schools, and elderly care. The food service unit aims to make meals a positive experience. Our operations are distributed across 9 preparation kitchens and 4 receiving kitchens spread throughout the municipality. Work hours are scheduled Monday-Friday within school operations, and weekend service also occurs within elderly care. As an employee with us, you will have varied work. You are placed in one kitchen but should be prepared to work in different kitchens within the food service unit as needed. You have good service skills and enjoy working at a high pace at times. As an employee with us, you should have customer focus, good service manner, and find it easy to collaborate in both small and large groups, but also be able to work independently. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are committed and want to help develop meals for our guests. You must have chef training or equivalent experience from large-scale kitchens. Experience with similar work tasks is required. You must be fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written. Computer skills and a Class B driver's license are merits. You will be in contact with users, care staff, family members, and colleagues, among others, and it is therefore important that you are service-oriented and have good interpersonal skills. Before employment begins, you must provide a certificate from the criminal record and suspicion register. Employment form: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 3-6 months, start date: 2026-08-31 Start as soon as possible and by agreement, end date: 2027-01-31.
