About the School The school is beautifully located on Gnestahöjden, a ten-minute walk from Gnesta train station, 40 minutes from Stockholm C. The principal is a non-profit association founded in 1993. Gnesta is a growing municipality and we are a modern Waldorf school that is constantly expanding and developing with approximately 1800 students distributed from preschool class through grade 9 and after-school care. Gnesta Waldorfskola is characterized by a holistic view of students aimed at developing the whole person – thought, feeling, and will. Some things that distinguish our pedagogy are that we work with cross-curricular theme periods and aim to integrate creative activities such as art, crafts, and music into all school subjects. The Position We need experienced substitute teachers for our classes in preschool-9 and for after-school care. You should be able to take responsibility for your own teaching in class. Perhaps you are a trained teacher who is taking a break from teaching or have flexibility in your current position and want to work more. Start date is as soon as possible. Job Description We are looking for experienced teachers who want to work as substitute teachers in preschool-9 and after-school care with Lgr 22 as a clear foundation and Waldorf pedagogy as method and approach.
