Lighting Technician (m/f) We are looking for a colleague to join the technical team at Jihočeské divadlo who is passionate about lighting technology and attracted to an environment where technical work meets creativity and live operations. You will participate in the preparation and implementation of theater productions, rehearsals, and other events – from installing and adjusting lighting to operating the show itself. What will your responsibilities include? • preparation, installation, wiring, routing, and focusing of lighting equipment, • operation of the lighting console and programming of lighting scenes, • work with intelligent lights, lasers, fog machines, and other stage equipment, • work with projection and video technology, • preparation and implementation of lighting scenes for productions, rehearsals, and other projects, • collaboration with directors, set designers, lighting designers, and other technical departments of the theater, • creation and maintenance of technical documentation for productions – light plots, focus sheets, and photo documentation, • maintenance of lighting equipment and routine care, • work on theater stages and on projects in other interior and exterior locations. What do we expect from you? • technical thinking and enthusiasm for working with lighting and stage equipment, • independence, reliability, and a responsible approach, • ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues across theater operations, • willingness to work according to theater schedule, including evenings and weekends, • desire to learn new technologies and methods, • responsible approach to workplace safety. Experience with lighting technology is an advantage; theater experience is not required. We would also be interested in experience from concerts, events, cultural activities, audiovisual technology, or other technical operations.
