Bollebygd and Svenljunga municipalities are now seeking a joint Medical Director for Rehabilitation (MAR). The position is based in Bollebygd. In the longer term, the position will also involve you working as an assistive devices coordinator for both municipalities.

DUTIES
As MAR, you have overall responsibility for supporting, developing, and monitoring quality and patient safety in the rehabilitation field. The assignment involves working strategically and close to operations, with a focus on creating clear, safe, and equitable working methods.
You are responsible for developing, monitoring, and ensuring the quality of rehabilitation processes as well as developing, implementing, and monitoring guidelines and procedures. An important part of the assignment is to contribute to systematic quality and patient safety work, including participating in deviation management, analyses, and improvement initiatives.
In this role, you provide support to managers and operations in rehabilitation matters and serve as an expert in the field. You monitor developments in legislation, regulations, and national guidelines and contribute to implementing these in practical work.
You will also collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and be an important part in developing future rehabilitation services in both municipalities.
In the longer term, the position will also involve you working as an assistive devices coordinator for both municipalities. You will then be responsible for ensuring a functioning, safe, and cost-effective system for medical technical assistive devices.
What more specific work tasks are included in your assignment as MAR and assistive devices coordinator?
• Ensure that operations comply with applicable laws and regulations for healthcare.
• Monitor operations through, among other things, self-inspections.
• Develop, implement, and monitor guidelines and procedures
• Investigate deficiencies and deviations related to healthcare and participate in Lex-Maria matters
• Support and train licensed staff in rehabilitation matters
• Coordinate the municipality's work with assistive devices
• Represent the administrations in their respective boards in matters concerning the areas of responsibility
• Participate in internal and external collaboration within the areas of responsibility
• Drive development and improvement initiatives related to the areas of responsibility
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you as a licensed occupational therapist or physiotherapist with experience in healthcare work. You have good knowledge of relevant healthcare legislation, quality and patient safety work, and the prescription process.
To succeed in this role, you need to work independently, in a structured manner, and drive matters forward. You have a good ability to create trustful relationships and collaborate with different professions, managers, and operations. You express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and have good digital skills. A B driver's license is required since the position involves work in both Bollebygd and Svenljunga municipalities.
Experience working as MAR, with strategic development work, or with deviation management is meritable.
