We are now seeking a Kitchen Manager who wants to help create structure, work satisfaction, and long-term development in the kitchen operations at Axevalla folkhögskola. Job Responsibilities As Kitchen Manager, you will have an important role in driving daily operations and leading the team in planning, structuring, and developing kitchen activities. Operations run year-round and the kitchen serves breakfast, lunch, and snacks daily. Our guests include the school's participants, staff, conference guests, and course attendees. This is a newly created position designed to strengthen clarity, collaboration, and long-term sustainability in operations. You will work operationally in the kitchen for most of your time while also being responsible for coordinating and developing work together with the team. Your duties include: leading and coordinating daily kitchen operations planning and conducting team meetings creating clear routines and work distribution responsible for long-term and thoughtful menu planning developing operations based on quality, economy, and sustainability contributing to a good meal environment for participants, guests, and staff actively working toward a good psychosocial work environment and strengthened team spirit This position initially involves no personnel management responsibilities. About You you have culinary training and documented experience working in a kitchen you have experience leading or coordinating work you are confident in planning, structuring, and developing operations you have a good understanding of economy, work environment, and collaboration you are clear, solution-oriented, and communicative you enjoy working with others and creating engagement We will place great emphasis on personal suitability. Terms This is a full-time position (100%) starting with a probationary period. Individual salary negotiation applies. Collective agreement through Kommunal and the Employers' Alliance. Operations are primarily conducted on weekdays during daytime, but weekend work also occurs. Working hours will mostly be daytime, but weekend shifts and occasional evenings may occur.
