The school is located just outside central Avesta. At the school, we actively work to create good conditions for learning by offering a safe learning environment and high-quality instruction, both in school and at the after-school program. We are a partner school with Högskolan Dalarna, which means we welcome teacher trainees each term – something that contributes to our evidence-based approach and development of our operations. All instruction at the school shall be guided by our three core values: learning, safety, together – to give all students the opportunity to develop as far as possible according to their abilities. 1 position(s). We're looking for someone with the ability to lead and motivate students and create a safe and enriching classroom environment with engaged and involved students. The position involves mentorship and co-teaching instruction in a grade 3 class. In our co-teaching model, we work flexibly with two teachers in the classroom or by dividing the class into two groups. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction in accordance with Lgr22 and other governing documents, both independently and together with colleagues. You will also be responsible for collaborating with colleagues, students, guardians, and other relevant stakeholders to create a safe and developmental environment for students. An important part of the work is systematically monitoring students' academic progress. You work according to established procedures for individual development plans and written feedback. You strive to create a classroom situation where all students can succeed based on their abilities. In consultation with the student support team, you also work to implement relevant interventions for students needing additional support. You are responsible for establishing and maintaining good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. Your duties include ongoing contact with guardians and conducting development meetings. You are also responsible for having good oversight and care of your students' overall school day and social situation, which may involve contact with other authorities and agencies. Other duties include: Supervision during recess Ordering teaching materials and similar items in collaboration with your team Pedagogical lunches Qualifications: Your leadership is characterized by clarity and structure. For the work to be successful, you need strong collaboration skills and be relationship-building, as good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues are fundamental to the work. You need the ability to adapt your instruction based on results, evaluations, and individual student needs. To achieve this, you need a good understanding of how different students learn and the ability to adapt your teaching approach at both group and individual levels. The position requires personal maturity and the ability to distinguish between personal and professional matters. You value diversity and understand how background, culture, and group belonging affect yourself and others. You also need to be stable and composed in stressful or pressured situations, as well as flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances. You understand the importance of working toward the school's overarching goals and following established procedures, guidelines, and decisions, and you work for the benefit of the organization. Your ability to express yourself in Swedish, both in writing and orally, is good. Teacher certification F-3 is a requirement for a permanent position. If this qualification is not met, a candidate with other relevant higher education may be employed, but not on a permanent basis. Experience with instruction and teamwork, as well as knowledge of Office programs, is considered meritorious. Employment form: Permanent position. Duration: Start date: 2026-10-26.
