Nurse for Department 69

Do you want to work in an environment like no other? Neonatal Department 69 is a combined care unit for sick newborns and premature infants as well as their mothers. With us, you will work with care for the small child and its family in a unique and stimulating work environment. Work Tasks After your introduction, you will have the opportunity as a nurse to develop over time in your work tasks, which consist of qualified care, acute care, and intensive care for sick newborns and premature infants. You will meet children with varied care periods and care needs, and no two days are the same. You will be a support to new parents in their process of getting to know and bonding with their new family member. You work in a team together with child nurses and physicians where collaboration within and between teams is important. As a newly hired nurse, you always have an experienced colleague at hand. The introduction consists of 8–10 weeks of orientation at the department where you initially learn the basics of neonatal care and then develop to take independent responsibility as a nurse. You will also attend the department's own introductory training over 4 full days. Newly graduated nurses are also offered Region Västmanland's general introductory training. Scheduling is done individually and activity-adapted in TESSA and we work according to Region Västmanland's working time model. About the Workplace The Children's Clinic is like a small hospital within a large one. With us, all the expertise a sick child might need is available. We take care of the children and their families and we take care of each other—because we know we do a much better job together. The department cares for sick newborns and premature infants from week 28. Approximately 400 children per year are cared for on the department's 10 care beds, of which 3 are intensive care beds. Care is family-centered and children are cared for together with their parents. For a secure transition home, we offer Leave Care or Home Care at the end of the care period. The operation is conducted in modern facilities with multiple single rooms, which enables extended combined care and a good work environment. Child nurses, nurses, pediatric nurses, and physicians work with us, as well as paramedical professionals. We asked two of our pediatric nurses what the best thing is about working with us: "In my job, I not only have the opportunity to make a difference for families in the acute phase. I also have the opportunity to make an impression on how they will remember their first time as parents. I get to strengthen the parental role and promote attachment" /Maria, pediatric nurse "My work tasks are very varied. One day I support parents in bathing their child for the first time. The next day I might rush to an alarm at delivery and care for a child on a ventilator. For me, this means I have an exciting job where all days don't look the same. The variety also means I have time to mentally recharge after more intensive periods" /Elin, pediatric nurse For us, it is important that you feel well and enjoy your job, so we offer you: adjusted introduction program so you become confident and secure in your professional role opportunity for competence development through, for example, internal training a workplace for different stages of life, opportunity for flexible working hours within certain limits free training at our fully equipped gym wellness allowance 3000kr/year More about your benefits can be found here: https://regionvastmanland.se/jobba-med-oss/dina-formaner/ Curious? Nurse Night Shift - Psychiatric Departments 91/96

We are seeking nurses for night shifts in 24-hour care at departments 91 and 96. Our nights are characterized by close collaboration, stable staffing, and an active focus on safety. Night work offers great variety – you will meet patients with different backgrounds and diagnoses and handle both acute situations and long-term care processes. Work Tasks As a nurse with us, you have a central and varied role encompassing both psychiatric and somatic care, where your medical knowledge is used in symptom assessment, risk evaluation, and medication management. As time and opportunity permit, you participate in nursing care work, while the nurse's areas of responsibility always have the highest priority. All of psychiatry is housed under the same roof, which creates close collaboration and good opportunities for support even during night shifts. Each night, 13 care assistants and 4 nurses work in 24-hour care, providing stable staffing and a strong collegial environment. The operation has a clear focus on safety and continuous improvement work. Common night meetings contribute to shared understanding and knowledge exchange. To enable skills development for all staff, training is sometimes scheduled in the evenings so that night personnel can also participate. What is the best part about working nights? "You get a completely different closeness to the patients at night. The pace becomes calmer and you have more time to really see each individual. The team at night also becomes very tight – we help each other and trust one another in a way that's hard to describe." - Eva About the Workplace Psychiatric 24-hour care (HDV) is an operation that is constantly moving forward. We actively work on improvements based on operational needs. We feel that we make a difference for our patients and have the privilege of getting to know them. The work climate is open and permissive; we can be ourselves and we help each other. We have good cohesion in our staff groups, both within our own work team and across 24-hour care as a whole. Department 91 Department 91 is a general psychiatric acute unit with a substance abuse focus, where the emphasis is on withdrawal treatment for patients with comorbidities in psychiatry and substance abuse. The department is a regional resource for patients with complex issues, such as active substance abuse combined with mental and/or somatic illness. Work is conducted in close collaboration with Beroendecentrum Västmanland and the region's open care clinics to ensure coordinated and patient-safe care. Department 96 Department 96 is an acute psychiatric psychosis unit with 14 care beds. It primarily cares for patients with psychotic disorders in acute phases, but also patients with substance abuse problems and neuropsychiatric diagnoses. Care aims to stabilize the patient's condition in preparation for continued treatment in psychiatric open care. Patients often require somatic interventions, and work is based on a holistic perspective with the patient in focus. Care is provided according to both HSL and LPT. We believe it is important that you feel well and enjoy your job, so we offer you: a customized introduction program to help you feel confident and secure in your professional role free training at our fully equipped gym health and wellness allowance 3000kr/year For more information about your benefits, visit: https://regionvastmanland.se/jobba-med-oss/dina-formaner/ Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a licensed nurse with work experience and who enjoys working closely with both the operation and patients. Experience in psychiatry is particularly valued. In your role as a nurse with us, you are present and engaged, and you see yourself as a natural part of the team. You are attentive and build your leadership on trust in your colleagues' competence. When the situation requires it, you are available and supportive, and you actively contribute to a work environment where everyone feels seen and appreciated. You work in a structured manner, take responsibility for your tasks, and value both clarity and collaboration as important prerequisites for a well-functioning team. We place great importance on personal suitability. Terms of Employment Indefinite contract, full-time, night shift. Start date by agreement. Within the region, an extended night shift premium of 40 percent is offered for night work. If you work continuous nights, that is only nights during a schedule period, you work 32 hours per week if employed full-time. This can be compared to 40 or 38.15 hours, which is standard for a full-time position. Application Welcome to submit your application by September 28, 2026. When you apply, please only attach your CV and preferably relevant grades/certificates. You will also be asked to answer a number of questions as part of our selection assessment. Nurse to the Emergency Department

Our work is varied, exciting, and educational with a great sense of community and job satisfaction. We have a strong focus on development and we view continuous improvement as a natural part of our daily operations so we can offer patients high-quality specialist care. In this role you will have stimulating work and, over time, you can be sponsored to pursue specialist training in Emergency Care. Job Responsibilities As a nurse with us, you will work with a unique range of patients – from newborns to people at the end of life. Working within our operations will provide you with personal development as you encounter many different types of situations where you use both your medical knowledge and life experience. You work in a team together with doctors and nursing assistants in the assessment, prioritization, and care of critically ill patients. Your Introduction You will receive training on one clinic at a time, and once you feel confident at one clinic you move on to the next. When you start, you begin at one of our surgery/medicine/orthopedics clinics and stay there for approximately 2-4 months. If you have previous experience from working in an emergency department, your introduction can be adapted accordingly. Once you are trained in all three clinics, you will be trained to receive patients at 36B (infection entrance) and work in triage with an initial assessment. After that you progress to emergency calls. Before placement in emergency calls, there is both emergency call training and TRSS (acute trauma care) which help prepare you for the role. We also have a position we call Frontnurse, who sits at reception and does an initial assessment of where the patient should seek care. There you can both direct patients to the emergency department's different clinics but also refer them to, for example, primary care or other clinics. About the Workplace Working at the Emergency Department involves broad competency development since you meet patients within many different specialties. Last year we received approximately 62,000 patients for doctor visits, of which 3,000 came in via emergency calls. Our largest patient groups are in medicine/infection, surgery, and orthopedics. During on-call time we also have patients from smaller clinics such as ophthalmology, otolaryngology, gynecology, and oral surgery. Our trauma unit is one of the largest in the country and receives trauma cases 24/7. We also have emergency teams for surgery, medicine, orthopedics, infection, and pediatric patients. For us it is important that you feel good and enjoy work, so we offer you: an adapted introduction program so you become confident and secure in your professional role opportunity for competency development through, for example, internal training a workplace for different life stages, opportunity for flexible working hours within certain limits free training at our fully equipped gym wellness subsidy 3000kr/year More about your benefits can be found here: https://regionvastmanland.se/jobba-med-oss/dina-formaner/ Curious? Please feel free to contact us if you want to book a no-obligation conversation or if you would like to visit us to get an insight into our work and see the facilities. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with at least one year of experience in the profession, preferably in emergency care. To ensure patient-safe care, you must have good knowledge of Swedish both spoken and written. It is a merit if you have computer skills and knowledge of the Cosmic medical record system. As a person you easily see what needs to be done and act accordingly with the patient's best interests in focus. You have good self-awareness, are confident in yourself, and can distinguish between the personal and professional in interactions with others. You need to be comfortable with a varying pace and be comfortable with not knowing how your workday will develop. Since teamwork is so central to our way of working, it is of great importance that you have good collaboration skills. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Terms of Employment Permanent position 100%. Rotation day, evening, (night) We apply individual and differentiated salary setting Application Welcome to submit your application by October 4, 2026 When you apply, you should only attach your CV and preferably relevant grades/certificates. We have a planned operation where chronically ill kidney patients come two to four times a week to receive their blood dialysis treatment. We also provide acute dialysis on both ICU and HIA as needed. Most of our patients are returning and over a long period, which means we create long-term relationships with a focus on helping them achieve the greatest possible quality of life. This is done by designing the dialysis treatment based on the individual's needs and means that we are increasingly working towards person-centered care where patients are involved in their own treatment. Beyond that, there are many different areas of responsibility with opportunities for specialization and, if needed, courses/training. Evening and weekend shifts occur. QUALIFICATIONS We welcome you if you are a licensed nurse with authorization to practice in Swedish healthcare.
