Description Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Neuropsychiatry Clinic East is part of Västra Götaland Region. Neuropsychiatry Clinic East is one of two neuropsychiatric clinics within the Neuropsychiatry business area. The neuropsychiatric clinics assess and treat ADHD and comorbidities in the form of anxiety and depression disorders, and also have responsibility for autism assessment. Neuropsychiatry Clinic East currently has approximately 4,300 active patients. In total, we are just over 60 employees. Duties As an occupational therapist at the Neuropsychiatry Clinic, you work in an interdisciplinary team with assessment and treatment of patients with neuropsychiatric functional impairments, particularly ADHD. The work is varied and includes both individual interventions and group treatment. You work with activation, daily structure, time management, and other strategies to facilitate the patient's daily life. An important part is identifying activity goals together with the patient and finding functional, compensatory strategies. The work also includes psychoeducation and activity capacity assessments. You have a central role in the clinic's group treatments and collaborate closely with physicians, psychologists, nurses, social workers, rehabilitation coordinators, and other professionals. You also work with vocational rehabilitation and support patients in the transition from sick leave to work or studies. Qualifications We are looking for someone with an occupational therapy degree and preferably with experience in psychiatric work. VIA is a unit within Employment and Livelihood consisting of daily activities and business groups. Within VIA, 28 supervisors and support assistants work, of whom one specifically works with work capacity assessments and others with evaluation of completed activities. These assessments/documentation serve as a complement to supporting individuals toward their next step, which can range from studies, work, activities, or disability benefits. Individuals matched to VIA's activities come through employment consultants, who are responsible for individuals with LSS and SoL decisions, and through coaches at Jobbcentrum, Employment and Livelihood. These may be language-weak new Swedes, individuals with substance abuse issues, individuals with intellectual disabilities and various NPF diagnoses, mental health problems, long-term sick leave, etc. This position is a project employment for two years. The psychiatric clinic in Avesta will offer psychiatric specialist care to the adult population in Avesta and Hedemora municipalities. Our mission is to assess, diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate patients with severe psychiatric conditions.
