Awake Night Care Worker at LSS Residential Facility for Youth

Are you straightforward without being harsh, calm without being passive, and stubborn enough not to give up when things get difficult? Then you're the person we need! A job for someone who wants to make a real difference At Samskapa, we meet children and young people who need more support in their daily lives than many others. Our LSS activities are designed for youth within personkrets 1. Many may also have experiences with relationships that haven't worked, anxiety, or trauma. This can make it difficult to trust adults, regulate emotions, and handle situations that become challenging. At night, worry and anxiety can take up more space. When emotions become too difficult, it can also lead to situations that quickly escalate into outward aggression or threatening behavior. That's why we're looking for someone who can both prevent and manage difficult situations in a calm and reassuring way. About the position When the rest of society is sleeping, you're one of the adults who stays behind. You ensure that the young people get the support and care they need and help create a safe and calm night. The work varies and can include everything from preparing a night snack to preventing anxiety and helping manage difficult emotions. You need to be able to read what's happening, notice when something is about to change, and adapt your approach accordingly. You also work based on the implementation plan and help create conditions for a life that is as independent and meaningful as possible. You work independently and need to feel confident making decisions and acting when necessary. At the same time, you're an important part of the team. Documentation and clear handovers to colleagues are a natural part of the work. We're looking for someone with: Education as a support pedagogue, social pedagogue, assistant nurse with LSS specialization, or other equivalent education. At least one year of experience with similar work with children and young people. Knowledge and/or experience with low-arousal approaches and threat and violence management. B-category driving license We consider it meritorious if you have: Education or experience within NPF and the target group. Knowledge of AAC, TAKK, or other clarifying pedagogy. Basic knowledge of BBIC/IBIC. Experience with documentation and journal systems. Who are we looking for? Someone who is fearless and has their heart in the right place. You enjoy working nights, like having responsibility, and are someone others feel safe with. You have an easy time reading people and notice when something is about to change. You can set a boundary without escalating the situation, distract when needed, and try again if it didn't work the first time. You need to stand firm when the storm comes, but also understand when it's time to just listen and be there. You take your assignment seriously, work independently, and dare to make decisions. At the same time, you know that a good team is built on people talking to each other, sharing information, and helping one another. We offer you: A safe start. You'll get a well-thought-out introduction with follow-ups along the way. Opportunity to develop. Both on a personal level and in your professional role. We offer training based on the organization's needs and what you want to improve. Support when you really need it. We're Looking for You—Warmth, Courage, and Humor—for Our HVB in Kristianstad

You're not here to change a young person overnight. You're here to be the adult who makes a difference, one day at a time. At Samskapa, we work with young people who need more than just a safe place to be. They often face complex social challenges, often combined with things like ADHD, relationship difficulties, anxiety, or trauma. These may be young people who struggle to trust adults, regulate strong emotions, or find ways to handle what's difficult. They need adults who have the patience to be close, who dare to set boundaries, and who keep trying even when things don't go as planned. That's where you come in. About the Role: You're part of the young person's daily life and are the one who creates structure, maintains routines, joins in activities, motivates, talks, listens, and helps make things work. One day you might cook together or take a walk. The next day you might need to handle a serious conflict or help a young person find calm. You work closely with one young person at a time and get the chance to really get to know them. You work independently, need to be able to make decisions, and trust your own abilities. There's no manual for every situation here, so you need to be able to think "Okay, that didn't work. What else can we try?" and dare to try again. But even though you work independently, you have colleagues, managers, and specialist support when you need to talk things through, get support, or think out loud. The work also involves collaboration with social services, schools, guardians, and other important people in the young person's life. Documentation is a natural part of the role. What We Offer You: A secure start. You'll get a well-thought-out introduction with follow-ups along the way. Opportunity to develop. Both on a personal level and in your professional role. We offer training based on the organization's needs and what you want to improve in. Support when you really need it. You'll get continuous supervision, close manager support, and colleagues to bounce ideas off. 5000 kr in wellness benefits per year. Because we want you to stay healthy and feel good outside of work too. Requirements: Relevant post-secondary education, such as social pedagogue, social worker, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Experience working with young people, preferably in HVB or similar settings. Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written. B driver's license, as the work involves traveling between our facilities. Meritorious: Experience working with young people with ADHD, self-harm, OCD, eating disorders, or other challenging behaviors. Knowledge of low-arousal approaches and experience handling threatening or challenging situations. Basic knowledge of BBIC. Experience with documentation in journal systems. Who Are We Looking For? Someone who can be both a safe harbor and a clear compass. You have gumption, but don't need to be aggressive about it. You can say no without making a big deal of it, and you can step back when you realize that's exactly what the situation needs. You have patience, humor, and understanding that not every day goes as planned. You like people and are genuinely curious about what's behind the façade. You can sense when it's time to talk, when it's better to be quiet, and when a simple, ordinary conversation can make a bigger difference than another serious discussion. You thrive with responsibility and like being trusted. At the same time, you're unpretentious enough to say "I need help with this" and curious enough to listen to someone who thinks differently than you do. In short: you don't need to have all the answers. But you need to have heart, courage, and a willingness to keep trying when things don't go as planned. Information About the Positions: Location: Kristianstad Extent: Approximately 85% Work Hours: 24-hour shifts according to schedule Employment Type: Permanent position with 6-month probation period Start Date: By agreement Number of Positions: 2 Information About the Recruitment Process: In accordance with the Social Committee's decision, a certificate from the Police Authority's criminal record register is required in connection with employment. Want to create change for young people? | Treatment Worker at Samskapa, Tollarp

About Samskapa At Samskapa, we work with young people who have some of the most complex treatment needs within residential care. These are young people who may have a combination of severe social issues, neurodevelopmental disorders, trauma, anxiety, relationship difficulties, and behaviors that demand a lot from both you and the organization. Many have already encountered several different interventions. You will therefore meet young people where there isn't always a straightforward path forward and where sometimes something different from what has been tried before is needed. This is also what makes Samskapa a place for you as a treatment worker who wants to develop professionally. Here you get to work with situations that require you to use your knowledge, make your own assessments, think creatively, and constantly consider what can actually make a difference for the specific young person you meet. We believe in competence, but we don't think that a single education or method solves complex problems. Our model, Integrated Professional Treatment, IPT, is based on the idea that different interventions and competencies need to work together to create real change. With us, you don't just get a job where you help young people. You get to work with some of the most demanding treatment assignments and together with colleagues who want to improve what we do. About the role As a treatment worker, you work closely with young people in their everyday lives and are an important part of their treatment and development. You need to be able to try different approaches, evaluate what you do, and reconsider when something isn't working. There is rarely a simple manual for what to do here. That's exactly why we need really good treatment workers. You collaborate with colleagues and other important people around the young person, such as school, social services, and guardians. Documentation is a natural part of the work and helps us follow the young person's development and ensure quality in treatment. Who do we think you are? Someone who enjoys working closely with young people and who doesn't give up just because the path forward becomes winding. You want to understand what's behind the young person's behavior and are genuinely curious about what can help the specific young person you meet. You feel secure when situations become intense and can be both warm and clear. You understand that boundaries and relationships are not opposites and can keep your composure even when the young person's emotions take center stage. You enjoy seeing development, even when it comes in small steps. When something doesn't work, you don't dwell on it but think about what you could do differently. You work independently and take responsibility for your assignment, but don't believe you need to have all the answers yourself. You appreciate working together with others, sharing experiences, and learning from your colleagues. We're looking for you who wants to work with young people who make high demands on you as a treatment worker and who think that's what makes the job meaningful. We're looking for you who have • At least two years of post-secondary education in social work, such as social pedagogy or social work, or in behavioral science • At least one year of work experience in similar work • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing • B driver's license It's a merit if you have experience with • Neurodevelopmental disorders, trauma-focused treatment, motivational interviewing, or other relevant training • Low-intensity confrontation approaches and management of threats and violence • BBIC or IBIC • Documentation in electronic health record systems We offer you • Thorough introduction with planned follow-ups • Competence development and regular supervision • Well-educated and experienced leaders • A team with broad expertise and strong cohesion • Wellness allowance of 5,000 kr per year • Collective agreement, occupational pension, and good working conditions Practical information about the position Location: Tollarp, Kristianstad Extent: Approximately 85% Working hours: 24-hour shifts Type of employment: Permanent position with six-month probationary period Start: By agreement Number of positions: 3 Recruitment process In accordance with the Social Services Committee's decision, a police background check is required in connection with employment.
