Nurse for Liljeholmen Home Care

Nurse for our home care service. We are a cheerful and cohesive home care team consisting of five district nurses, six nursing assistants, and two physicians who care for approximately 168 patients in home care. We work in a team where nurses have a leading role and together with the nursing assistants and physicians plan home visits. It is independent work where you plan your own day, and we support and help each other with both planning and visits. As a nurse, you have one office day per week where you are responsible for administrative tasks, Lifecare, home care's TeleQ, planning of SIPar, distribution of dose dispensers, etc., and you provide support both to those out with patients and colleagues at the health center. We believe in developing both as individuals and as a group and work extensively on improvement projects that are discussed at our regular weekly meetings. We work only daytime on weekdays, and there is some opportunity to influence your working hours based on operations. To visit our patients, we travel by car, public transportation, bicycle, or on foot. Therefore, we also require a B driver's license. Job Description Would you like to build a physics-based model and a digital twin of how bio-based materials are pressed and dried? We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Fiber and Polymer Technology at KTH. In a Formas-funded project in collaboration with Hitachi Energy and Nordic Seafarm, we are developing knowledge and tools to reduce energy consumption in dewatering and drying of bio-based materials. Your role is to develop a robust numerical model of mechanical dewatering and subsequent thermal drying and further develop it into a validated digital twin of the process. You will work within a continuum framework for porous media coupled with heat transfer including phase change—and implement the model in existing codes and/or COMSOL with AI support. You will calibrate and validate the model against experimental data, demonstrate a digital twin on industrial or lab data, and work closely with an experimental postdoctoral researcher and with the industrial partners. Qualifications Required Completed doctoral degree or equivalent foreign degree. This qualification requirement must be fulfilled by the time the employment decision is made. Documented scientific competence in numerical modeling and simulation of coupled physical phenomena, demonstrated through publications. Experience with finite element or finite volume methods as well as scientific programming, e.g., Python, MATLAB, C++ or Fortran.
