JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a social secretary in our investigation group, you will work together with your 8 colleagues to handle cases according to the Social Services Act and the Care of Young Persons Act concerning children and young people ages 0-21. Your duties include receiving concern reports, applications, and conducting safety and preliminary assessments. The work involves investigating children's needs according to BBIC, assessing and deciding on interventions, and following up on approved interventions such as open care. You will work closely with other social secretaries within the unit and with our open care services, as well as with external partners. The unit continuously works to develop its own work methods within the scope of the work. All social secretaries in the group have been trained in the evidence-based risk assessment methods Earl and Savry. JOB DUTIES Do you want to be part of developing a shared reception that makes it easier to get support earlier? We are looking for you to help create a reception where Ronneby residents get the right support earlier. In the new reception unit, we bring together multiple entry points to social services where we provide counseling, early assessments, services without needs testing, straightforward case management, fieldwork, and collaboration with partner organizations. As a team leader, you will have a central role in coordinating the reception's daily work and implementing the purpose of the new reception in practice. You support staff in assessments, counseling, and guidance, and contribute to ensuring the work is characterized by high accessibility, good quality, legal security, and professional conduct. Together with the unit manager, fellow team leaders, and staff, you will develop working methods that strengthen preventive work, make the path to social services clearer, and give Ronneby residents better conditions to receive the right support earlier. The reception unit will be an important entry point to social services for children, young people, adults, and families. The task involves being easily accessible, providing advice and support early, and collaborating with others to identify needs before they grow. The work takes place, among other things, in close collaboration with schools, police, the regional healthcare authority, recreational activities, and other internal and external actors. Since a large part of the task involves early assessments and guidance within child and youth social welfare, you need to be confident in case management, able to weigh protection and support needs, and contribute to residents receiving the right support at the right time. The role includes, among other things: • Coordinate and support the reception's daily operational work, in close collaboration with the unit manager. • Provide methodological support and be a sounding board in assessments, counseling, and guidance. • Contribute to common routines, structures, and working methods for counseling, fieldwork, services without needs testing, and case management. • Promote quality, legal security, and clarity in case handling, documentation, initial assessments, and early support measures. • Contribute to a preventive and outreach approach through collaboration with, for example, schools, police, the regional healthcare authority, recreational activities, and internal services. • Be a driving force in developing a reception that is easily accessible, clear to approach, and provides better conditions for receiving the right support earlier. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who: • Have a degree in social work. • Have substantial experience with case management in child and youth social welfare and are confident in guiding others in difficult assessments, while also seeing the value of preventive work, early interventions, and collaboration. • Have good knowledge of investigation work, protection and risk assessments, and the needs of children and young people. • Are confident in providing support in complex cases and can translate legislation, procedures, and professional assessments into practical work. • Have an understanding of social services' broad mandate and can provide support in matters concerning multiple target groups and life situations. • Have a strong commitment to social work, want to help children, young people, and families receive the right support earlier, and are motivated by being part of developing new working methods in practice. It is advantageous if you also have: • Experience with open services, family treatment, fieldwork, counseling, or other early support measures for children, young people, and families, particularly where the work has focused on creating appropriate support at an early stage. • Experience with supervisory roles, coordination, or team leadership assignments. • Experience with development and change work, preferably in connection with new working methods or organizational change. • Knowledge of the new Social Services Act's intentions and preventive working methods.
