ABOUT THE JOB We are now seeking a Sámi duajjáre/vytnesjæjja/duojár/duodjár to teach within Sámi-integrated handicraft in primary school. The position can be combined with native language instruction. Lycksele is ambitious to be the hub for Västerbotten's inland when it comes to Sámi integration in schools. This includes, among other things, agreements written with the Sámi School Board on Sámi-integrated instruction in primary school. We currently have nine native language teachers in Sámi languages and one duajjáre who also teaches South Sámi as a native language. These form a work team where experience sharing and professional development take place. If your teaching experience is not extensive, you will receive support from experienced colleagues and our lead teacher. Classes are held Tuesday through Thursday and instruction takes place at Finnbackskolan, Norrängsskolan, and Forsdalaskolan.
