Career and Education Counselor at Adult Education Center Järva

Stockholm is flourishing as the nation's leading growth region. We work towards a labor market where everyone can find their place – where employers find the right skills and where people get an opportunity to enter or return to working life. We support Stockholmers' journey toward work or studies through labor market initiatives and adult education. Welcome to us Adult Education in Stockholm offers a wide range of educational programs within municipal adult education. We have over 40,000 students studying with us annually. Adult Education is divided into four operational areas; this unit belongs to the Admissions and Support operational area. The operational area consists of the Admissions Unit, Support and Testing Unit, Guidance Unit, Student Teams and Center for Civic Orientation, Operations Support, the Language Support Unit, and Adult Education Center Järva. We base our work on the needs of Stockholmers and our goal is to offer the best possible service to those who turn to us. With us, Stockholmers can apply for Swedish for Immigrants (SFI) and basic and secondary adult education (Komvux). Residents can also get information about educational programs and schools, book career counseling, and test their knowledge in Swedish, English, and mathematics. We have close collaboration between our units as we depend on each other in our respective assignments. What we offer Adult Education Center Järva started as a unit on January 1, 2025. Since our start, we have worked on developing the unit and implementing change, where expertise, collaboration, and reaching more people to study form the foundation of our work. We are a small team with mixed professions: career and education counselors, study administrators, test pedagogues, business developers, and a unit manager. We offer an opportunity to be part of and continue developing our operations based on your profession as a career and education counselor. The role offers a varied day-to-day experience where outreach work, collaboration with local stakeholders, and business development are natural parts of the assignment. Our workplace is located in Kista galleria, three minutes from the subway. We work office hours and primarily on-site at the office, but in the future, some evenings may be included as part of our assignment to also work with local collaboration and outreach work to bring more people to studies. Part of your working hours are scheduled; we see that you are positive about this and flexible when it comes to covering for colleagues when needed. We also staff various locations in the districts, such as citizen service offices and libraries, which means you will work at these locations according to a schedule. Read more about our benefits here. Your role As a career and education counselor, you provide information about studies, study pathways, and schools. You offer career and education counseling to prospective students, which can be both individual and group-based guidance. You develop individual study plans based on each individual's goals and circumstances, and some student administration is part of the work. You identify and help discover and address barriers to studies and offer customized solutions. You also participate in outreach activities and events. Furthermore, you collaborate with various stakeholders, such as the Public Employment Service, Job Centers, and schools, to inform and motivate priority target groups to start studying in adult education. Outreach work is also part of the role, to help make adult education visible and spread information about studies in adult education, especially in Järva and the Western Districts. You are part of a team of career and education counselors, where you have a generalist role with the opportunity to specialize in one of the work areas within the unit. We always strive to develop our work with a focus on quality. To continuously improve, we also survey customer satisfaction and use the results to further develop our work. Your competence and experience We are looking for someone who has: Career and education counselor degree Current experience working as a career and education counselor Current experience working with adult education Experience working with digital platforms Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. It is advantageous if you have: Current experience establishing and maintaining collaboration relationships Current experience working with outreach activities Experience working with newly arrived persons/persons who have Swedish as a second language. In your role, you have significant personal responsibility and need to be self-directed and flexible in your work, with the ability to switch between different tasks and target groups based on situation and need. You have many contact points, which requires that you are service-oriented, have very good collaboration skills, and can work effectively in a team with both colleagues, other staff members, and collaboration partners. Since a large part of the position involves informing and clarifying, you need to have good pedagogical skills and be able to adapt your communication to both the recipient and the situation. We also see that you have a genuine interest in participating in the unit's development work and are willing to share your knowledge and experience. We welcome your application! Other information This recruitment includes tests as part of the assessment during selection. We will collect educational certificates later in the process. Stockholm City works with competence-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination. At the Employment Administration, we apply individual and differentiated salary setting and other collective agreement-based principles according to the collective agreement Main Agreement (HÖK). You can read more about what conditions this entails at SKR's website, skr.se. At the Employment Administration, we work to make it easy to develop by changing unit and workplace. This means that your employment is with the entire administration and that you may be given new assignments within other activities where your competence is needed most.

HANZA is an international manufacturing group listed on Nasdaq Stockholm, with operations in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. We help customers simplify their supply chains by combining multiple manufacturing technologies with consulting services. We are growing, both organically and through acquisitions, and operating in an increasingly complex regulatory environment. Our customers, banks, and partners have high demands for compliance, particularly in areas such as sanctions, international trade, data protection, and business ethics. We are now looking for a Compliance Officer who builds structure, creates clarity, and makes things work in practice. About the Role This is a new role with group-wide responsibility for establishing and developing HANZA's compliance work. Today, compliance expertise, initiatives, and responsibilities exist in several places but lack a cohesive structure. Your task is to set direction, build frameworks, and ensure that compliance functions effectively in a decentralized organization. You work closely with the CFO and management, and in close dialogue with operations globally. In the role, you support, challenge, educate, and follow up on compliance work in the organization. Your assignment includes: · building and implementing a group-wide compliance framework · establishing structure and methods for sanctions screening of customers, suppliers, and other business partners · working with areas such as anti-corruption, data protection, ethics, and regulations · monitoring regulatory changes and translating them into practical and effective working methods · educating the organization and building understanding of compliance in a decentralized environment · handling and assessing complex compliance matters and risk cases, including incidents and investigations. This can of course also be with external support and consulting. · supporting operations in dialogue with banks, customers, and suppliers on compliance matters. · developing reporting and information for management and other stakeholders · participating in acquisitions and establishment in new markets with a focus on compliance and risk You lead without personnel responsibility, but with a clear mandate to set parameters and drive change. The position is based in Kista and you will be part of the Finance organization where Lars Åkerblom is CFO. "This is a new role that is strategically important for HANZA – compliance can determine a company's success," says Lars. How It Works in Practice HANZA is a decentralized organization where responsibility and authority lie close to the business and decisions are made locally. This means your success in the role largely depends on your ability to make things work in reality. Not just by writing policies and regulations, but by making them practical and useful. You have many points of contact, both in Sweden and internationally. The issues are often complex, sometimes without obvious answers. That is also what makes the role interesting. Who You Are You have broad experience with compliance in an international operation and are accustomed to working across multiple areas. You have good knowledge of sanctions screening and due diligence, but most importantly, you know how to translate regulations into effective working methods in practice. You have experience building structure and developing processes, preferably in an environment where much needs to be established from the ground up. Experience from manufacturing industry or similar complex operations is a merit. As a person, you are pragmatic, clear, and confident in your assessments. You drive your work forward with your own initiative and have an easy way of bringing the organization along. You are also comfortable handling gray areas and making trade-offs in complex situations. Why HANZA · You get to build the function from the ground up and put your mark on it. · You get to work close to management in a strategically important role · You become a key person in a company where compliance is business-critical · You work in an international environment with complex and challenging issues · You are part of a continued growth journey through expansion and acquisitions We warmly welcome your application! Oplana is a recruitment and consulting firm with deep roots in industry. We work with talent supply to technically advanced operations and combine recruitment, consultant staffing, training, and trainee programs to meet industry's growing need for qualified expertise. Our strength lies in the fact that we come from the industry ourselves. Many in our team have backgrounds as production managers, electronics assemblers, test technicians, project managers, and trainers in electronics manufacturing. This means we truly understand our customers' operations – from production and technology to the competencies required for operations to function. Oplana has built a unique position in Swedish high-tech industry over many years and is today Sweden's leading competence partner to the defense industry within our segment. Through our industry knowledge, training initiatives, and extensive network of technical expertise, we help some of Sweden's most advanced industrial companies secure the right competence – both today and for the future. Based in Stockholm with strong anchoring in Swedish industrial expertise, Oplana is a long-term partner for companies in defense, electronics, telecom, and technology-intensive operations. CEO of Oplana Oplana is seeking a present and commercially minded CEO who wants to take overall responsibility for the business and lead the company through its next development phase. The role is both strategic and operational and involves overall responsibility for finance, sales, personnel, and business development. The CEO is expected to be close to both employees and customers, with a clear focus on nurturing existing relationships while developing new business, customer segments, and geographic markets. An important part of the assignment is to create structure and direction for continued profitable growth. This includes developing the training business, increasing capacity, broadening the offering, and driving digitalization of internal processes and ways of working. We are seeking a confident, business-oriented, and committed leader who thrives in an entrepreneurial company where you both work long-term and are prepared to be operational on a daily basis. The role may suit you if you currently hold broad management responsibility and see this as a natural next step in your career. The important thing is that you have the ability to create structure, build relationships, and bring the organization along in continued development. Responsibilities and Tasks • Lead and develop the business based on the company's goals and strategy • Take responsibility for results, budget, forecast, and financial monitoring • Hold overall responsibility for personnel and work environment • Lead, coach, and develop the organization's employees • Be active in sales, customer meetings, and business development • Nurture and develop relationships with existing key customers • Identify new customers, segments, and geographic markets • Develop Oplana's training business and increase instructor capacity • Ensure the company can meet increased volumes and customer inquiries • Drive digitalization and development of systems, processes, and monitoring • Report business results and development to the board Experience and Knowledge To succeed in the role, you have a background from industry, preferably within electronics, and experience from a management position with responsibility for operations, personnel, and finances. For example, you may have worked as a business area manager, department manager, sales manager, production manager, or in a leading role within supply chain or procurement. It is important that you have a commercial perspective and experience in developing customer relationships and business.
