Swedish Armed Forces Music (Försvarsmusiken) is the Swedish Armed Forces' function for military music. Försvarsmusiken celebrates its 500th anniversary in 2026 and has played a significant role in the Swedish Armed Forces and Swedish musical life throughout the centuries. The Swedish Armed Forces operates 28 music corps consisting of Försvarsmusiken's permanent music corps: the Army Music Corps, the Life Guards Dragoon Music Corps, the Navy Music Corps, and the Home Guard's 25 music corps. The Swedish Armed Forces Field Artists' war organization is part of Försvarsmusiken. The contractual music corps, the Air Force Music Corps and the Gotland Music Corps, are engaged continuously for musical assignments. Each year, Försvarsmusiken performs over 1,300 musical assignments through participation in state ceremonies, band performances, public concerts, and tours—nationally and internationally, especially within the alliance. Army Music Corps The Army Music Corps is a music corps for parade and ceremonial activities as well as a symphonic wind orchestra for concert performances in various genres and styles. The corps, consisting of 53 musicians, is based in Häggvik in Sollentuna. Collaboration takes place with the other music corps. Primary Duties Marching performances in ceremonies, parades, and figurative demonstrations Participation in orchestra and ensemble concerts Participation in recordings and live broadcasts Other duties may include activities that promote the music corps' operations, such as participating in working groups and projects within Försvarsmusiken. Working Conditions Work takes place at multiple locations with irregular working hours in varying conditions and environments, both indoors and outdoors, in Sweden and abroad. Performances are conducted in uniform. Job Responsibilities In the role of cable assembler, you will work practically with the manufacturing and assembly of various types of cabling based on drawings and technical specifications. The work involves close collaboration with colleagues in production and requires a structured and meticulous work approach. Examples of work tasks: - Prepare cables through cutting, stripping, and marking - Assemble various types of connectors, cable lugs, and coupling components - Perform tasks such as crimping, soldering, and fastening of strain relief - Ensure that work follows technical instructions and quality procedures - Register and document completed tasks according to internal guidelines This position is a full-time employment with an initial probationary period. Your Profile We are looking for someone with experience in practical assembly work within electrical or cabling. You have an interest in technology and are accustomed to working methodically and carefully. We would like to see that you have: - Experience with cable or electrical assembly (advantageous) - Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written (required) - Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, drawings, or instructions - Practical aptitude and experience with manual work - An eye for detail and quality in your work Technical education from upper secondary school or equivalent experience is advantageous.
