Activity Description The Care and Nursing Department consists of five units: Enen, Forsgläntan, Älvgården, Dementia, and Short-term Care. Älvgården's dementia residence is located on two floors on the back side of Gällivare Hospital. The Care and Nursing Department operates residential facilities for elderly persons with extensive care needs in accordance with the Social Services Act. We offer a safe and individually adapted home with access to care and supervision around the clock. The work is based on each individual's needs, wishes, and self-determination. Through a person-centered approach, we ensure that each resident receives an individual care plan. The operations work systematically with quality, documentation, and follow-up in accordance with applicable legislation and regulations. Work Tasks As a nursing assistant, in your role as a contact person, you play a central part in the care and nursing of the residents. The work is based on the individual's needs and care plan as well as the facility's guidelines and objectives. Your tasks include assisting and supporting residents with, for example, hygiene, medication, dressing/undressing, and social activities. Your work is important for residents to have a good and secure life. The role also includes administrative tasks such as documentation. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has education, experience, or interest in dementia care. It is important that you can collaborate, see the individual, be flexible, and take personal responsibility. You must be able to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish. Personal suitability is given great weight. Within the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sámi, Meänkieli, and Finnish.
