The work includes, among other things: - Configuration or troubleshooting of transmission networks within DWDM or radio link networks. - Preventive and corrective maintenance of TV and radio antennas with associated transmitter systems and backup power systems including batteries and generators. - Work with critical infrastructure such as the Rakel network. The role is broad and exciting with great freedom under your own responsibility. About you We are looking for someone with a background in a technical profession or similar educational background. The Upper Norrland Field Unit is responsible for management, operations and maintenance of technical equipment in Norrbotten, Västerbotten and parts of Jämtland and Västernorrland. Working hours are primarily daytime; the position may involve work at other locations where overnight stays may be required. On-call duties and work in evenings/weekends may also occur. We are looking for someone who: Is ambitious and has a genuine interest in technology and problem-solving. You are comfortable working with computers and have basic technical understanding and curiosity to learn more about IP networks, mobile networks, TV and radio networks as well as fiber and transmission networks. Formal requirements: • You hold a category B driving license. • You are able to pass a medical examination and training for work on masts, as a mast certificate is a requirement in the position. • Employment requires that a passed drug and alcohol test is conducted and that an approved background check and approved security clearance with registry check are completed, as the employment involves security classification. Due to this, Swedish or Nordic citizenship is also required.
