About the Operation MAVA/Cardiology Department in Örnsköldsvik is part of local healthcare north and offers an exciting combination of cardiology and medical emergency care. With us you will meet patients with acute conditions that require rapid assessments, good care and close collaboration between different professions. We work in interprofessional teams consisting of doctors, nurses and nursing assistants. Together you are responsible for 5-6 patients, which creates good conditions for person-centered care, close collaboration and continuous learning. On the department we care for patients with, among others: Infections Shortness of breath and other acute medical conditions Heart attack Heart failure Arrhythmias Fainting and other circulation-related problems With us you get varied work where you develop your skills every day and become an important part of an engaged team that makes a difference for patients - around the clock. With us you get a safe introduction with a two-week orientation where you gradually enter the work. During your first time you also undergo internal training, including A-CPR, ProACT and practical sessions at KTC adapted to the operation. To ensure you feel secure you will have an experienced nursing assistant as a mentor. The mentorship provides you with support, guidance and a natural contact person during your first time with us. On the department there is also a supervising nurse whose main task is to support and guide employees in their daily work - whether it concerns practical procedures, medical issues or other situations that may arise. As a new nursing assistant you have the opportunity to participate in our development year. During the year training sessions alternate with experience exchange together with other newly hired nursing assistants, which provides both knowledge and a valuable network. We are now looking for two nursing assistants for our team! The positions are temporary full-time with start date according to agreement until 2027-09-05. Responsibilities As a nursing assistant in our acute care department you are an important part of the team and meet patients with varying care needs. Your responsibilities include, among others: Providing safe and person-centered basic care. Assisting patients with mobilization and rehabilitation. Monitoring patients' conditions through NEWS checks and vital parameters. Venous blood sampling and blood cultures. Central venous catheter placement. Wound dressing changes and other care based on the patient's needs. You work closely with nurses, doctors and other professionals in an engaged team where collaboration, development and the patient's best interests are always in focus.
