We strive to work together with the individual to find solutions based on individual needs. The new unit consists of a team that meets and handles young adults between 20-25 years old and a team of service providers (Adult Support Team) who work on behalf of all adult units. The work is varied and you actively participate in the department's own development work and the city's overall development initiatives, as well as the collaborations the business area has with partners within the scope of the assignment. Development areas the department is currently working on include increasing accessibility in line with the new Social Services Act, meeting people better, and preparing for the comorbidity reform. Within our department, we help each other and support the administration as a whole. The management team meets once a week to handle operational matters, and you will participate in several forums both within the administration and across the city, such as leadership forums and unit manager networks. You lead the unit's work to ensure legally sound and correct case handling. You have support from your colleagues and various support resources to work toward the administration's vision of an equivalent and efficient social service with a focus on early intervention. The work includes personnel and budget responsibility, operational and personnel development, and workplace environment responsibility. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another university degree that the recruiting manager deems relevant for the position. You have several years of documented experience working as a manager and/or in a leadership role. You are comfortable working in the public sector and a politically controlled organization, and you have work experience in social services. You have current work experience in authority and administration. You recognize the importance of close leadership and have an interest in personnel matters that are part of management. Experience in the adult services area is considered a merit. Personal Competencies Through your leadership style, you contribute to a culture where employees' knowledge and experience are valued and create good opportunities for operational development. You are a clear and good communicator with a great ability to bring people along and find solutions through dialogue. You are confident in your leadership role and can pragmatically reconsider when needed. To succeed in this role, you should be action-oriented, structured, and analytical.
