About the Job Would you like to help develop Sweden's largest municipal health and social care service? We are now seeking an operations manager to lead an operational area within the municipal health and social care service in the City of Gothenburg. We offer you an exciting assignment with a focus on the future! Within the municipal health and social care service, over 1,200 employees work. We want to create opportunities for Gothenburg residents to live an independent and good life, well into old age or when health declines. We offer care and rehabilitation in home environments around the clock for patients of all ages living in ordinary housing, care and service facilities, or housing with special services. Each month we meet approximately 8,500 patients who have difficulty getting to their health center or need health and social care over a longer period. In your role as operations manager, you will lead and develop the operations together with colleagues for the greatest possible benefit to the residents. You contribute to ensuring that employees within your area of responsibility have the conditions to create good quality and equality for those we serve. You stay updated within the field specifically, but also within societal development generally. As more people live longer, more will need municipal health and social care—on their own terms. To succeed with this assignment in the coming years, we are developing new ways of working and the ability to think innovatively. Together with your colleagues, you contribute to the transition toward good and accessible care. As operations manager, you work on behalf of the department manager and are part of the department's management group. You lead your management group consisting of unit managers and a quality developer where you together drive operations forward. About You We are seeking someone who is a licensed nurse, occupational therapist, or physiotherapist with at least five years of management experience. You may also have experience leading at a strategic level and have managed managers. If you have additionally worked within municipal operations, that is a merit. In the role of operations manager, it is important that you have the ability to lead based on the city's approach: we know our mission and who we serve, we care, we work together, and we think innovatively. You have the ability to develop a culture that creates trust, transparency, and a good work environment. You create systems and conditions for good communication and dialogue both within the organization, with labor representatives, and with external actors and the surrounding society. Furthermore, you have the ability to work together with others to complete tasks and reach goals. You promote a respectful work climate, understand the shared mission, and act accordingly. You can oversee your area of responsibility and put your own operations' significance in a larger context. You are comfortable in social situations, both informal and formal. You stand by decisions made and can convey difficult messages when necessary. You see change management as a natural part of leadership as demographic development and the transition to accessible care require new ways of working.
