Responsibilities The Department for Labor Market and Adult Education is now seeking a Business Development Manager for the Labor Market Division. As a Business Development Manager, you will be a key resource for the unit managers in the Labor Market Division and work with the administration of the division's management group across different operations. You will compile the division's work, lead reviews, and actively monitor developments in the external environment while helping us both think and act innovatively. You will work closely with the division manager and contribute to the preparation of matters for the committee, including writing official statements and ensuring high-quality case handling. The role includes extensive quality work—planning, reporting, and following up on the division's and units' results, operational objectives, and political goals. You will participate in the division's management group and report to the division manager. You will be part of the administration's broader management support network alongside other Business Development Managers in similar roles. Qualifications You should have a bachelor's degree (minimum 180 credits or equivalent) in behavioral science, political science, public administration, or a similar field, and experience working in a politically governed organization. Additionally, you need experience in the labor market area and skills supply from public sector operations. You should have knowledge that has given you understanding of the responsibilities of social services and the Swedish Employment Service. You also need experience with strategic planning and follow-up work. The role requires that you can identify and analyze the core of problems or what is essential, and draw the right conclusions based on available information. You should have good oversight of your own area of responsibility and have a strong interest in societal issues, which enables you to drive initiatives across operational areas to create added value for the administration and the city. You need the ability to transform defined goals into concrete action, and to follow up and report results and goal achievement. It is important that you are communicative, adapting your communication to your audience and situation. You can convey information clearly and ensure your message gets through.
