Junior Analytical Chemist / Laboratory Technician – HPLC & Sample Preparation
Do you want to work close to research and development of tomorrow's pharmaceutical products? We are now seeking an analytical chemist or laboratory technician who wants to contribute their expertise in sample preparation and HPLC analysis and become an important part of our development team. In this role, you will work to ensure high-quality and reliable analytical data through sample preparation, assay determinations, dissolution testing, and impurity analysis. You combine practical laboratory work with data review, documentation, and collaboration with colleagues in analysis, formulation, and project management. With us, you will work in a development environment where your analyses contribute to important decisions in preclinical and early clinical projects. This role suits you if you enjoy working in the laboratory, appreciate careful and structured work, and want to contribute to developing working methods, quality, and processes. Examples of work tasks You will, among other things: Perform sample preparation for analytical runs, including assay determinations, dissolution testing, and impurity analysis. Conduct HPLC-UV analyses according to established methods and protocols. Review and assess analytical results and identify and report deviations or unexpected results. Prepare mobile phases, buffers, and reagents for laboratory work. Participate in the planning, execution, and documentation of experiments and studies. Review data and ensure that analyses are performed according to applicable quality requirements. Contribute to stability studies and cross-functional development projects. Participate in the daily operation of the laboratory, including instrument maintenance and routine upkeep of HPLC equipment. We are looking for someone who likes to combine accuracy and structure with curiosity and problem-solving. You enjoy laboratory work and have a natural focus on quality in everything you do. At the same time, you enjoy collaborating with others, sharing knowledge, and contributing to the development of both methods and working practices. Whether it involves routine analyses or new challenges, you are driven by delivering reliable results that help move projects forward. For this role, we also see that you: Have an academic degree in analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, materials chemistry, pharmaceutical science, or equivalent. Have experience with analytical laboratory work, preferably with HPLC or other chromatographic techniques. Have very good English skills and can communicate well in both speech and writing. Have good Swedish skills. It is an advantage if you have Experience from GMP-regulated activities or other quality systems. Experience working according to established analytical methods and instructions. Experience with chromatography software Chromeleon. Experience with sample preparation, HPLC-UV, or related analytical techniques.
