About the role As a technical procurement coordinator, you work at the intersection between procurement officers and technical specialists, with a focus on analyzing technical data and keeping article data updated in systems. You support the procurement team in selecting the right materials and contribute with knowledge about suppliers' ability to produce and deliver against specifications – materials that ultimately become parts of advanced marine defense systems. One of the main tasks is to create new procurement articles with correct information in the material catalog, so that they become purchasable. You work closely with project managers, designers, and procurement officers and contribute technical expertise to support when questions from suppliers arise. It is a long-term role where you progressively build deep knowledge of materials and components. Summary of work tasks: Create new procurement articles in the material catalog and ensure that mandatory attributes are registered so that articles become purchasable Create procurement requests based on system needs and consolidate purchases in a cost-effective way Procure materials for projects where deliveries occur over longer periods (forecast purchasing) Assist procurement officers and other functions with technical expertise, including when handling supplier inquiries About you We are looking for someone with a genuine technical interest and who thrives working at a detailed level. You have high social competence and the role involves collaboration with many people and functions – willingness to cooperate, service orientation, and attention to detail are therefore essential. You manage a high workflow with a good ability to plan your own work, and you have the patience to build deep knowledge over time. We are looking for someone who has Relevant education in economics, procurement, production, technology, or similar At least 1 year of relevant work experience in procurement combined with production or technology, or a technical role with interest in procurement Unobstructed Swedish and English in speech and writing Good knowledge of Office programs Ability to complete and pass a security clearance before employment, which may require certain citizenship Meritorious Previous experience with spare parts procurement, both the technical aspect and procurement Knowledge of different types of materials, such as steel, sheet metal, fasteners, or electrical components Experience from a role at the interface between technology, production, and procurement Analytical ability and interest in detail About the company The client company is a leading player in Swedish defense and security technology with strong marine operations in Karlskrona.
