You will work during school hours in the preschool class under the supervision of a preschool teacher. The role of student assistant involves varied tasks based on the preschool class's mission. You will work alongside the preschool teacher who holds pedagogical responsibility; you should be able to conduct independent activities with the entire group. After school hours, you will work in the after-school program where you collaborate with other staff. You will also lead your own activities here. You contribute to students' well-being and their ability to benefit from the school's instruction, as well as help them achieve the goals outlined in the curriculum and school law. Your work situation will be adapted to the children's daily circumstances, which means you need to be flexible and prepared for rapid changes in your work. Your tasks are to support students in instruction and pedagogical activities in preschool class and after-school programs, as well as provide our students with the best conditions to develop in their schoolwork. Qualifications Do you want to work for every student's best school? You have completed upper secondary education. If it is from the child and recreation program, we consider this an asset. You have at least two years of work experience including work with children and youth. You further have solid experience working with students in school who need low-affect interaction. If you have experience working with children with autism and language disorders, we consider this an asset. You should have experience leading activities on your own with the full class. The position requires very good Swedish, both spoken and written! We would appreciate if you have good knowledge of the school's curriculum and other documents that govern school operations. We also value that you have knowledge about how various disabilities affect student learning and how best to compensate for these.
