Ref: 20261799 Job Duties We are seeking a school counselor for a six-month temporary position at the Bulltofta school district with the possibility of extension. As a school counselor at Bulltofta, you will be part of the school's student support team, which together with school leadership is responsible for health promotion, prevention, and intervention efforts for our students. As a counselor, you have special responsibility for students in need of support from a social and psychosocial perspective. You will work with support for individual students as well as meet with students in larger groups for supportive and guidance conversations, including values-based work. With your expertise, you contribute to ensuring that interventions for students requiring special support are considered and offered. Furthermore, you work to identify and create opportunities for change and development at the student, group, and organizational levels to promote students' health, learning, development, and work environment. You are also part of the school development group together with teachers from all schools and after-school programs, representatives from student support, and school leadership. Qualifications You have a degree in social work and at least two years of experience in social work focused on children and youth. We would appreciate it if you have experience working as a school counselor. You have good insight into the school's goals and governing documents, knowledge of other administrations and, for example, child and adolescent psychiatry (BUP), as well as knowledge of practices and guidelines within the field. You also have knowledge of the Social Services Act and practices regarding work with socially vulnerable and at-risk children. It is a merit if you have experience documenting in Prorenata. As a person, you easily build relationships, can lead yourself in your work, and collaborate well with others. The work can be intensive at times, which requires stress resilience. Within the district there are approximately 500 students distributed across the three schools. Bulltoftaskolan has approximately 300 students from preschool class through grade 6. There is one class per grade in grades F–3 at Bulltoftaskolan, and from grade 4, three parallel classes are formed with students from Bulltoftaskolan, Karlshögskolan, and Mölletoftaskolan combined.
