Often, incidents are handled reactively without utilizing experiences in long-term risk work. This research project examines how organizations can strengthen their ability to integrate incident management into risk-based information security work. The focus is on how organizational and sociotechnical factors affect the possibility of working more cohesively and learning over time. The goal is to develop a practical and theoretically grounded framework that describes how organizational capabilities for incident management can support risk-based information security work. The results are expected to contribute to increased understanding of how organizations can strengthen their resilience by linking incidents in their operations to the continuous work of identifying, assessing, and managing information security risks. Your Role You will primarily focus on your doctoral studies, which includes participation in various studies within research projects as well as doctoral courses, seminars, and conferences. Your duties include: Conducting studies in the field of IT-forensics and incident management processes, Participating in relevant research projects, Completing doctoral courses, and Participating in teaching within cyber- and information security and performing other departmental work (no more than 20 % of working time). Part of the work will be conducted at the Cybercampus office at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and in collaboration with other doctoral students throughout Sweden within the same research program. We are seeking a university lecturer in medical science for a permanent position at the Department of Medical Sciences. The position is a combined appointment with Region Örebro County. Subject Area The subject area for this position is medical science with a focus on precision diagnostics. Background At the Department of Medical Sciences (MV), undergraduate medical education, standalone courses in biomedicine, and postgraduate education and research in medical science are conducted. The Department has approximately 200 employees divided into five units, one of which is purely administrative. Research at MV has access to modern laboratory infrastructure, advanced sequencing platforms, regional biobank operations, and clinical data environments. This enables studies with direct links to patient-centered diagnostics and implementation of precision medicine methods in healthcare. The Faculty of Medicine and Health, together with Örebro University Hospital, participates in an initiative for the development and implementation of precision medicine for Swedish healthcare, Genomic Medicine Sweden (GMS). Additionally, MV is a host node for Clinical Genomics (CG) Örebro, part of Science for Life Laboratory (SciLifeLab), Sweden's largest research infrastructure for life science. This position offers the opportunity to lead and further develop the university's engagement in these national initiatives.
