Your Workplace You will become part of the community development sector and join the traffic operations team, which is responsible for traffic planning, construction and maintenance of streets and squares, school transportation planning, and paratransit services. Our workplace is located in Mölnlycke city center in the municipal building, and it takes 15 minutes by bus from Korsvägen to reach Mölnlycke; during peak hours, buses run every 5 minutes. We are 21 employees working in traffic operations, of which two are paratransit case handlers. You will work as a temporary replacement for one of the paratransit case handlers who will be on an extended leave. Your Assignment Paratransit is part of public transportation and is available to those who cannot use regular scheduled bus routes. As a paratransit case handler, you will investigate and make decisions regarding individual eligibility for paratransit services in accordance with applicable legislation, precedents, and regulations. The work involves extensive telephone contact with applicants, relatives, and healthcare providers, as well as contact with organizations such as Västtrafik and transportation companies. The work is independent but involves a high degree of collaboration within the team. As a paratransit case handler, you will handle paratransit applications, national paratransit services, and parking permits for persons with mobility impairments. What This Position Requires We are primarily looking for someone with experience in paratransit case handling or other qualified investigative work within municipal administration. You should have a degree in social work or equivalent higher education in social work/care or behavioral science, or alternatively possess work experience that the employer considers equivalent. It is advantageous if you have knowledge of applicable legislation, particularly regarding the Paratransit Act and national paratransit services. Other valuable qualifications include experience with investigations, government authority operations, and experience working with Combine and/or Treserva systems. To obtain employment, you must provide a certificate from the Swedish Police criminal record register. A certificate from the suspicion register may also be required depending on the position.
