Mobacken Preschool in Hammerdal is seeking a substitute childcare provider at 50% who can provide language support for children with North or South Sámi as their mother tongue. Strömsund Municipality is a Sámi administrative area, which means, among other things, that the preschool should help children with a mother tongue other than Swedish develop both the Swedish language and their mother tongue. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The preschool should help children with a mother tongue other than Swedish develop both the Swedish language and their mother tongue. As a childcare provider tasked with developing children's language and cultural knowledge in the Sámi mother tongue, you work in a team with committed colleagues to create a safe, developmental, and educational environment for the children. • You help stimulate and challenge children's development in the Sámi language through learning and growth during their early and important years • Using the preschool's curriculum as a starting point, you work pedagogically to give children the opportunity to experience, explore, create, and reflect on new experiences • Together with colleagues, you are responsible for the children's care, safety, and daily activities • You maintain ongoing contact and collaborate with guardians QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you with language and cultural knowledge in South and North Sámi. You are trained as a childcare provider or have completed other secondary education, plus a genuine interest in or experience working with children.
