About the Department The Orthopedic area is part of regional somatic healthcare and conducts both planned and acute activities, focused on orthopedic injuries and diseases. This also includes the Orthopedic Technical Department. We work close to patients in care teams with physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. We are now seeking a nurse for a temporary assignment as Nursing Manager for the Orthopedic Department in Örnsköldsvik. The position is a permanent employment as a nurse at its core, with a temporary assignment as Nursing Manager through January 31, 2027. Responsibilities In your role as Nursing Manager, you work to create good organizational and working conditions for staff together with unit managers. You will support and guide your colleagues in nursing care and treatment based on guidelines and policy documents. An increased understanding of patient flow contributes to efficient and safe patient care. As Nursing Manager, you will work with: Coordinating, prioritizing, and leading the team's daily work. Creating structure and confidence by coordinating staffing. Introducing new staff members to work procedures, routines, and scheduling. Leading reflection and promoting a good working environment and patient safety through present and coaching leadership. Driving and participating in improvement and change initiatives, and contributing to internal training within the department. Contributing to high patient safety and guiding staff, for example in case of deviations. Using in-depth knowledge of crisis and command structure to support operations when needed. Performing administrative tasks such as managing credentials, reports, and training initiatives in various systems. As Nursing Manager with us, you are one of two Nursing Managers sharing the management responsibility Monday-Friday. The weeks when you do not have management responsibility, you participate in rotation service with three shifts and work every fourth weekend. During these periods, you work clinically as a nurse in the team, which contributes to continuity, presence, and a close connection to operations.
