Position Responsibilities The position involves scientific and pedagogical qualifications, combined with clinical service as a pharmacist, occupational therapist, midwife, biomedical analyst, physiotherapist, speech-language pathologist, pharmacy technician, radiologic technologist, hospital physicist, nurse, specialist physician, resident physician (ST-läkare), resident dentist (ST-tandläkare), dental hygienist, dentist, or dental technician at Region Västerbotten. The position is aimed at early-career researchers and is designed to provide an assistant professor with the opportunity to develop independence as a researcher and gain both scientific and pedagogical qualifications to meet the requirements for promotion to the position of associate professor with combined employment. Depending on your clinical profession and, where applicable, education level, the assistant professor position involves either clinical service of up to 13 hours per week or clinical service amounting to 50 percent of full-time work as a resident physician or resident dentist. At least 80 percent of remaining time, beyond clinical service, shall be devoted to scientific qualifications and the remaining time shall be devoted to pedagogical qualifications. Teaching will be conducted partly through internet-based distance methods. Teaching is conducted in Swedish and English. Administrative tasks may be included. Qualification Requirements Applicable to all applicants: To be qualified for employment as an assistant professor, you must have completed a doctoral degree or possess equivalent scientific competence.
