Do you want to help create security and development in daily life for two young people? We are now looking for a support assistant at Långhagsgatan residential home. At Långhagsgatan, we work to give each young person the best conditions to develop based on their own strengths and needs. The residence is a home with special services according to LSS for children and young people with autism, ADHD and intellectual disabilities. The residents are currently between 13 and 16 years old. Responsibilities Your main task as a support assistant is to provide individualized educational support that contributes to a meaningful, independent and developing life in accordance with LSS. You provide the child with individualized support in daily activities, which includes everything from personal care and home life to accompanying them on activities and outings, such as long walks, sports and culture. Communication and cognitive support are areas we actively work with, and we consistently use proven pedagogical methods such as pictures, sign language support and various cognitive aids to create clarity and predictability. Low-affect interaction means for us that we take responsibility for situations that arise by evaluating what happened and what may have caused the event, so that together we can find solutions moving forward. You will work days, evenings and on-call shifts according to schedule. Weekdays and every other weekend. Under the direction of the unit manager and support educators, and together with colleagues and other people in the child's network, you work to develop methods, routines and structure for the work with the residents to give each individual the best conditions for participation. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has support assistant training, a Child and Recreation program with a focus on social work or pedagogical work, or a Care and Health program with specialization in functional disabilities. Alternatively, other education that the employer considers equivalent. You need to have a passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not meet this requirement, you may be offered a language test via EducateIt. You need to have previous experience working with people with autism and intellectual disabilities. A driver's license and driving experience are required for this position. You work in our management system Treserva, and you therefore need to have basic IT skills. It is an advantage if you have previous experience working with clarifying pedagogy, LAB (low-affect interaction) and various forms of AAC (augmentative and alternative communication). It is an advantage if you enjoy spending time outdoors and physical activities such as walks, excursions, swimming, horseback riding, etc. As a person, you take responsibility for your own and the group's work tasks and take initiative and start activities.
