Make a difference. Every day. We at the Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine Department are expanding and developing our operations right now. Do you want to be part of our forward-thinking team? Apply to us today! We care for children of all ages who need highly specialized care, primarily for neurological, orthopedic, pulmonary, and metabolic diseases as well as injuries. We also conduct highly specialized investigations and provide intermediate care where the most seriously ill children are treated. We have recently been commissioned to provide national specialized care in several areas. This gives you the opportunity to gain increased competence in pediatric nursing within areas such as serious chronic lung diseases and epilepsy surgery investigations. At the same time, we are now expanding our department to be able to receive children with other diagnoses who need acute care. Each child cared for on the department has a unique disease presentation and therefore needs individualized solutions and treatments. We provide both acute and planned care at several different care levels. As a nurse or pediatric nurse with us, you have great opportunities to develop within your profession and gain broad knowledge within our specialties. To be able to provide highly specialized care, collaboration between several different professions is of great importance. The department is staffed by nurses, nursing assistants, physicians, a pharmacist, and administrators. Connected to the department are also physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, social workers, psychologists, medical secretaries, and play therapists. The patient's unique needs determine which professions should be part of the team around the individual child and family. We have close collaboration between all professional disciplines, a training-oriented culture, and, not least, a pleasant workplace. We work with a child and family-centered approach and follow the Nordic Association for the Needs of Sick Children (NOBAB) standard and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. 3 position(s). DUTIES We are now welcoming three nurses or pediatric nurses to our team at the Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine Department in Lund. As a nurse or pediatric nurse with us, you work to provide the child and family with the best possible care and treatment. During a typical day, you engage in tasks such as blood sampling, examinations, ward rounds, medication administration, and coordination with other professions. Since we are a department where we perform both acute and planned surgeries, you also work with pre- and postoperative care. As a new colleague with us, you receive an individually tailored introduction schedule of at least ten weeks where you, together with your supervisor, build a solid foundation and create conditions for you to feel secure in your new role. You are offered a training program in pediatric nursing during your first year. To strengthen your professional and personal development, we have unit-responsible nurses at the workplace. Their function is to be part of your introduction and development and to serve as a mentor for you after your introduction is complete. With us you have opportunities for skills development as we regularly offer training, both internally and externally, as well as opportunities for shadowing in other operations. You work two of five weekends on a rotating ten-week schedule. Each schedule period includes time allocated for training and improvement work. Working hours are arranged through a wish schedule. The positions are temporary assignments running until December 31, 2027, as well as permanent employment. QUALIFICATIONS We welcome you if you are a licensed nurse or a further educated pediatric nurse with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Furthermore, you have Swedish language skills that at least correspond to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale. If you have prior experience in pediatric nursing, this is considered a merit. With us, no two days are alike, and it is therefore important that you can plan, prioritize, and have a holistic perspective when acute situations arise that require the work to be adapted accordingly. You see the value of good collaboration and contribute to this yourself by sharing your knowledge and experience. Your commitment and positive attitude contribute to a good work environment. Here everyone helps each other and collaborates to achieve the best care quality for our patients. Furthermore, you naturally have an empathetic approach in your work and treat both colleagues and families according to Region Skåne's core values. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. WORK TASKS Do you want varied and meaningful work where you can use your skills broadly and work close to the patient? With us in municipal primary care, you'll be part of the shift toward Close Care, where we strive to base our approach on each patient's individual needs and create security through continuity and coordination. As a nurse with us, you'll be a fixed point of contact for patients in home healthcare and/or in care and residential facilities. This means you have a central role where you plan, implement, and follow up on healthcare interventions based on each patient's needs. The work is varied and spans everything from advanced home healthcare and medication management to wound care and end-of-life care. You meet patients at different stages and with different needs, which means you get to use all of your competence as a nurse. You work both independently and together with colleagues in a nursing team where you support each other and share experiences. The work takes place in close collaboration with other professions such as care assistants, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, benefits coordinators, and unit managers. You also have contact with other parts of the healthcare system, for example psychiatry and health centers. We work person-centered together with the entire team around the patient. Working hours are mainly during daytime, with some evening shifts. Weekend work occurs at most every fourth weekend currently. During evenings and weekends, interventions that cannot wait are carried out by nurses working in municipal primary care. Are you curious but want to know more before you decide? You have the opportunity to observe with us during one or two work shifts with compensation. QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for you who are a licensed nurse. It's a merit if you have previous experience from municipal healthcare, but it's not a requirement. We consider it a merit if you have further education, for example as a district nurse, geriatric nurse, or other specialization that adds value to the operation. To thrive in the role, you need to be confident in your profession and able to work independently, make your own decisions, and take responsibility for your patients. At the same time, you value collaboration and contribute to a good team climate where you support each other in daily work. You have the ability to structure and prioritize your work based on changing needs, and can adapt when the situation requires it. The work demands flexibility, initiative, and a solution-focused approach. We also see that you have a genuine commitment to your work and to the people you meet. Great weight is placed on personal suitability. A B driver's license is required. Welcome with your application! Selection and interviews are ongoing, so don't delay in getting in touch.
