The Business Area (VO) Clinical Genetics, Pathology and Molecular Diagnostics has over 400 employees and consists of three sections comprising the medical specialties Clinical Genetics and Clinical Pathology respectively, as well as the methodological area/platform Molecular Diagnostics. Our operations are characterized by very strong development, both in terms of technical and medical capabilities as well as increasing demand for our diagnostic services. We have Clinical Pathology operations in Lund, Malmö, Helsingborg and Kristianstad, while Clinical Genetics and Molecular Diagnostics are primarily located in Lund. We conduct both basic diagnostics and highly specialized diagnostics and provide specialist expertise and consultation services within the Southern Healthcare Region. Our operations also include the Center for Rare Diseases (CSD). We actively participate in quality and care program work, both regionally and at the national level.
