We are now seeking a specialist physician or chief physician in clinical pathology based in Malmö. The Business Area (VO) Clinical Genetics, Pathology and Molecular Diagnostics has over 400 employees and consists of three sections comprising the medical specialties Clinical Genetics and Clinical Pathology respectively, as well as the methodological area/platform Molecular Diagnostics. Our operations are characterized by very strong development, both in terms of technical and medical capabilities as well as increasing demand for our diagnostic services.
We have Clinical Pathology operations in Lund, Malmö, Helsingborg and Kristianstad, while Clinical Genetics and Molecular Diagnostics are primarily located in Lund. We conduct both basic diagnostics and highly specialized diagnostics and provide specialist expertise and consultation services within the Southern Healthcare Region. Our operations also include the Center for Rare Diseases (CSD). We maintain close collaboration with Lund University, and several of our staff conduct successful research linked to our operations.

DUTIES
Our diagnostics are driven and developed through 18 processes, histological diagnostics are performed via digital imaging and digitalization of cytological diagnostics is underway. Molecular pathology is a daily part of the pathologist's diagnostics, and analyses are conducted within the framework of the Laboratory Medicine center for molecular diagnostics. We actively participate in quality and care program work, both regionally and at the national level. We operate services that, in selected areas, are accredited with accompanying quality assurance of laboratory work, diagnostics and document management.
Education of students, supervision of resident physicians and research are part of our operations and therefore also part of your work as a specialist physician. We maintain close collaboration with the academy, including Lund University. We work continuously to develop our operations in a structured manner, and we would welcome your participation in this work.
QUALIFICATIONS
You are a licensed physician with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. In addition, you have specialist competence in clinical pathology. Swedish language proficiency at minimum level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is required. You must have completed or have planned clinical supervision training.
For employment as an Assistant Chief Physician, you must also have at least five years of full-time service (documented effective time) and clinical competence and independence within clinical pathology. Additionally, the following is required:
- A defined area of medical responsibility and expertise.
- Completed or planned clinical supervisor training.
- Documented teaching and supervision experience.
For employment as Chief Physician, you must also have at least five years of full-time service (documented effective time) and clinical competence and independence within clinical pathology. Additionally, the following is required:
- A defined area of medical responsibility and expertise.
- Completed or planned clinical supervisor training.
- Documented teaching and supervision experience.
- Doctoral degree.

At a university healthcare facility, physicians are required to have pedagogical experience and training. This can be acquired through supervision of, for example, nursing and medical students as well as resident physicians, and as a co-supervisor or main supervisor of doctoral candidates.
