The Role of Resident Physician Rehabilitation medicine is focused on creating the best conditions for individuals to live an active and participatory life with complex medical conditions. Rehabilitation medicine expertise is therefore broad and also contributes to valuable knowledge for you as a resident physician in areas such as neurology, psychiatry, pain management, internal medicine, insurance medicine, and orthopedics. In rehabilitation medicine, you work with adults of working age who have suffered brain injuries, chronic pain, spinal cord injuries, or other injuries/diseases such as amputations, multitrauma, post-polio that require coordinated specialized rehabilitation. To be able to conduct coordinated interventions, teamwork is required. Unlike teams in other medical areas, work is often conducted in interprofessional teams. This means that the degree of coordination is very high and goal-oriented measures are designed jointly by the team, where the person (and relatives) who is the subject of rehabilitation is included. As a physician, you are the head of the team. You are offered a permanent position with start date by agreement. Working hours are daytime, Monday through Friday. Your Future Workplace The Rehabilitation Medicine Clinic is a region-wide operation. In Jönköping, rehabilitation is provided for patients in need of full-time rehabilitation or day rehabilitation. In Värnamo and Nässjö, day rehabilitation is available, and in Nässjö there is also insurance medicine services. To succeed in the role, we see that you have: Higher education in, for example, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or equivalent. Experience with technical analysis work, systems work, or technical documentation. Ability to independently take on technical assignments and translate analyses into practical solutions. Good system understanding and an interest in complex technical products. Experience with collaboration with design, test, production, or other technical functions.
