The Workplace The HR/Personnel Department currently consists of six employees: two HR strategists, two payroll administrators, one systems administrator, and one HR manager. Together, we are an important support function for the municipality's operations and managers, providing support and advice on administrative, operational, and strategic HR and payroll matters. We are responsible for the municipality's HR and payroll processes and work to create good conditions for a sustainable working life. Our mission covers the entire employee journey - from attracting and recruiting new employees to developing, retaining, and supporting our employees and managers through different stages of working life. Work environment, health, and skills supply are central parts of our work, as well as ensuring professional support during change and transition processes. To strengthen our support to the operations and meet future needs, we recently conducted a review of our mission and organization. As part of this development work, we are now establishing a new position as HR Generalist. Role and Responsibilities As an HR generalist, you will work broadly within HR with a focus on supporting the business in daily HR matters while learning and developing in your role. You will work closely with experienced HR colleagues and help ensure efficient and quality HR processes. Your main responsibilities will include: - Provide operational support to managers and employees on straightforward HR matters - Personnel administration and documentation - Administer HR processes such as: Priority/conversion, recruitment (posting ads, scheduling interviews, etc.), onboarding and offboarding - Update and work in HR systems - Prepare simple HR statistics and reports - Participate in HR projects and development initiatives - Support work environment initiatives and follow-up - Contribute to employer branding activities - Ensure that HR policies and procedures are followed Your Profile We are looking for someone with an academic degree in HR, Personnel and Work Life Science, or equivalent. It is meriting if you have any of the following: - Experience from internships, trainee programs, or work within HR - Experience in administrative work - Basic knowledge of labor law - Knowledge of HR processes (recruitment, onboarding, rehabilitation, etc.) - Experience working with the Office package (particularly Excel and Word) We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills and a strong service focus. You are confident in your communication, build good relationships, and provide professional support to managers, employees, and union representatives. You are flexible when things change and can handle varying tasks, but at the same time have a structured approach that helps you stay organized and drive work forward.
