At Child and Youth Investigation Unit 3, we work with commitment, humility, and high legal security to provide children and families with the support they need. Our goal is to create continuity and long-term relationships so that families encounter fewer changes in social workers. We want all children and young people to grow up in good conditions, always with the child's best interests in focus. We are now seeking two social workers for the unit. In this role, you will assess children's need for protection and support, plan and follow up on interventions, and collaborate with children, guardians, and other key people in the child's life. The work is conducted in accordance with applicable legislation, guidelines, and procedures, and is based on Signs of Safety—a solution-focused and participatory method for strengthening children's safety and families' own resources. One of the positions includes a specialist assignment as an intensive investigator. Together with a colleague, you will conduct in-depth investigations in close collaboration with the child, guardians, and the child's network. Work often takes place in family homes and involves frequent family contact and multiple meetings per week. Intensive investigations are conducted over 6–8 weeks and aim to provide in-depth documentation for assessing the child's needs. Your primary tasks: - Assess children's need for protection and support according to the Social Services Act - Work using structured methods focused on the child's and family's needs - Plan and follow up on decided interventions together with children and guardians - Document and make decisions according to applicable delegation rules - Contribute to developing working methods and procedures within the unit - Collaborate with colleagues in social services and external partners such as police, healthcare, and schools - Within the specialist assignment, conduct intensive investigations in close collaboration with the child, family, and network What We Offer You You will become part of an engaged unit with three teams, each led by a senior social worker. You will receive support from administrative staff and case handling support, as well as one hour of independent case work each week, supervision, and external consultation. Since the work involves documentation according to the Social Services Act, you must also have excellent ability to express yourself clearly and professionally in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Meritorious qualifications: - Education and experience working according to BBIC and Signs of Safety - Experience involving the family's network and making them part of the investigation process To thrive and succeed in this role, you need good collaboration skills and the ability to work closely with colleagues and cooperate with, for example, schools, preschools, and healthcare.
