The most common diagnoses are type 1 diabetes, complicated type 2, and endocrine diseases where thyroid and pituitary disease predominate. 1 position(s). As a nurse with us, you are responsible for your own patients with complex endocrine diseases and work with advanced diabetes care and insulin treatment. You make clinical assessments to detect early signs of deterioration. This also includes working with patients who have pituitary, adrenal, and thyroid diseases as well as providing patient education and strengthening the patient's self-care. You actively participate in rounds, development and improvement work, and mentoring students and new colleagues. We have interprofessional collaboration between nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, and physicians. Important support functions in the department are medical secretaries, dietitian, foot care therapist, and diabetes nurse. Together we work for good care where the patient's well-being is always in focus. In our department we work divided into two teams consisting of one nurse and one to two nursing assistants. Each team is responsible for six to seven patients. At night, there is one nurse and two nursing assistants in the department.
