HR Specialist with Focus on Workplace Environment and Rehabilitation
Department of Clinical Sciences Would you like to play a key role in supporting our managers and employees and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment? We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable HR specialist who wants to become part of our administrative team and grow with us. About the Role As an HR specialist with us, you will work closely with the personnel administration team within the department's administrative support. The role is broad and combines ongoing personnel administration with a specific, operational focus on workplace environment issues and work-oriented rehabilitation. You will become a central support function for the department's managers in their employer responsibilities, and provide professional support to employees and colleagues. The assignment also requires close and well-functioning collaboration with central HR specialists, which will give you excellent opportunities for knowledge sharing and professional support in complex matters. Your Main Responsibilities Operational Manager Support: Provide advice and practical support to managers in handling sick leave, coordinating and monitoring rehabilitation plans, and collaboration with safety representatives. Workplace Environment Work: Actively support managers in conducting safety rounds and in local collaboration work with safety representatives, and for example assist in work with systematic work environment management (SAM) and risk and consequence analyses in operations. Operational Employee Support: Provide advice and follow-up support to employees through coordination of ongoing rehabilitation plans, coordinate contacts with occupational health services and the Social Insurance Agency as needed. Personnel Administration: Handle ongoing and occasional personnel administrative tasks within the team. Your Background To thrive and succeed in this role, you are confident in your position, communicative, and have a strong ability to build trusting relationships with managers, employees, and union representatives. You work in a structured manner, have high integrity, and are comfortable working both independently and in a team. Requirements for the Role: - Academic degree in personnel and labor relations (HR Professional) or other education that the employer considers equivalent. - Strong knowledge of employment law prerequisites, laws, and agreements within the workplace environment and rehabilitation field. - A genuine interest in and documented experience with work-oriented rehabilitation and systematic workplace environment work. Meriting Factors: - Experience with operational rehabilitation work or workplace environment work in a support function. - Experience with personnel work in the public sector, academia, or other politically governed organization. SLU is a bilingual university, and therefore you need to be able to communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. You are thorough in your work and have good initiative and organizational skills. You have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and make priorities to complete things on time.
